More than likely its shifting form 3->1 which always game me the harsh downshift.
This transmission likes to skip gears when it THINKS its smart enough to do so. Its not. :cwl:
I don't know for sure, but I think shifts happen based on many factors such as engine RPM, wheel speed, throttle, etc. Adjusting to the correct tire diameter might help.
When it comes to checking the fluid, its an awful task. I was losing my mind on this transmission so early on I took my car...
Hello everyone,
I am an avid cyclist and for the past 8 years I have been sticking my bike in the trunk of the car (seats folded down) and that was worked out great!
However, I am planning on going on a vacation this summer with my girlfriend. She also rides bikes. He car does have a bike...
I personally stay in regular sport mode all year. Its far better than the regular drive mode. Sport+ is just too, I don't know- erratic?
I do like track mode, I feel like it gives me the RPMs I crave...but the downshifts suck.
Sadly my dog, or as I called him, my "puppy brother" passed away a few years ago. I never thought I would get another animal.
Then my girlfriend moved in... and now we have this guy. He waits by the door for me to come home. He always wants to be hanging out in the garage with me.
What is absolutely crazy is - I had the exact opposite problem of all of you talking about your 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 shifts. All of my clunky shifts were going down in the gears, 4-3, 3-2 or 3-1 etc.
After getting a tune (FP Tune) everything was corrected.
But things were really bad before the...
I had P008 and I was pretty sure it was related to the low pressure fuel sensor - not a turbo sensor.
I got a new LPFS and that cleared up all of my issues.
I assume a sim rig is for for sim racing...which I do not do.
But I do build custom PC's. I bought all the highest end parts (for the time) and my computers are still going strong. My first home built computer from 2010 has been demoted to being the garage computer. Cant play modern games -...
I have an ecoboost, but I have a similar looking leak. Its incredibly slow...I wouldn't worry about it unless there is large amounts of leakage with oil pooling. Also, it doesn't look too fresh..
I only use it to downshift a gear or two to keep my rpms up... it short shifts so much it bogs down the car.
Its pretty awful driving in full paddle shift mode.
Could be this.
I know that my 'normal' mode not only feels slow, but also draggy. Like my breaks are sticking on. I find that sport mode lets me get up to speed more easily (less throttle) and lets me get into a higher gear faster to coast in.
Yes that one. An APPROVED dealer has to do it if you want to keep your warranty. Some dealers are not approved and or unwilling to do it. But you could do it at home if you really wanted to - it would just void any warranty you have left (if any)
