When you plan a day of running it hard the simplest thing to do is not fill the gas tank as well. If all you need is say a quarter tank, don't add more than that. I shake my head when people say go to run the quarter mile with a nearly full tank.

I did a Braille battery in my car. It was the 600 cca version. It weighs 11.2lbs. The stock battery was 31.5lbs. Only thing that stunk was I have to make a battery hold down.

rear seat delete and exhaust are about the extent of weight savings for me.

The problem with the exhaust swap and rear seat delete is that they both take weight out of the rear section. The car is already nose heavy with an almost 54 front and 46 rear weight distribution.

I would suggest exhaust, wheel, battery, drive shaft and brake rotor upgrade.

Most of the weight from the exhaust is under the driver's ass.

Valid point on the seat delete, but there will eventually be a cage going there.

When i did my exhaust swap for the Borla Touring, i weight the rear sections and the suitcase. The rears were a lot heavier than the suitcase located in the center. Even switching to an axle back will save you around 18 lbs.

Damn, figured the suitcase would be much heavier.

Does this car get DDed? I ask because there seems to be some concern over race batteries ability to support DD new contented vehicles.

This being said, I have a Base GT.
