  1. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

I give up, have fun spending money on something that really won't make a bit of difference, again weather changes will make the difference up.
  2. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Not to you but I did in an earlier post, you didn't read the whole thread.
  3. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

You missed my post earlier when I stated stock/super stock, what do you think they are doing in super stock? Not all rules allow boost, so N/A is the way and maximizing it is different, and no I don't mean factory show down cars. Don't get me wrong if I recommend CJ to someone it isn't the...
  4. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Because I can wind that bitch out to 9k and with cams it will embarrass the 350 intake, and no the 350 will not be within 10 of the CJ when you start pushing it. That manifold in it's design is superior to the stock style intakes due to its straight shot at the valve and that matters when you...
  5. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Well then congrats, but I still wouldn't recommend that intake to a customer, if you are going to swap I'd go CJ or boost, otherwise why swap to a 350 when the OP asked for 430-450whp? Headers and tune get you there...why spend the money for 11hp? Seems like a waste to me when like I stated I've...
  6. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

No thanks I'll stick to the 18, as far as being wrong I'll tell you this. A month ago I tested my car at the track, nothing changed except the weather cooled off 10* but humidity went from 76% to 86% and the car dropped 2 tenths, that is more than 10hp to make a car do that. So again I stand by...
  7. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Were both manifolds tuned? and it isn't better everywhere, not until 6k does it start to make a difference and even then its 11hp. I've seen that difference off of different air quality alone. How much does that upgrade cost anyway for 11hp?
  8. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Because of the rpm difference as you already know is why the GT pull you with a truck intake. Now I will say this, a complete 350 setup should make more with the TB and air intake, but 8hp isn't enough for me to swap from a 18 to a 350. But if someone like you are doing a swap and you have to...
  9. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

I spend quite a bit of time looking at dyno graphs, but the 350 intake still will not outperform the 18 intake enough in the same operating range no matter the tune, if you are going to 8k then yes. You are not understanding that part, the 18 on a stock engine will beat the 350 up to 7k, after...
  10. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

against a truck intake? yeah of course because it's done at 5800. Now against a 18 intake? The 350 will make more peak because it will carry to 8k, but from 4700-7000 I believe is where the 18 stops working, the 18 will beat it every time, the advantage the 350 and CJ have is carrying higher...
  11. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

When you say under the curve, what curve are you referring to because right now I don't think we are referring to the same one. Yes every manifold will out perform the truck intake after 5800, but when I say under the curve I mean the curve at which the engine will operate when racing, obviously...
  12. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

I see the truck intake holding its own until 5800, which is what a truck intake should do. But when going to 7500 stock redline the 18 wins out, after that it is a 350 intake, then the CJ only because it never falls off with stock heads and cams. But for what the OP is asking for the stock 18...
  13. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Why would I pull my intake off? Go look at what VMP tested, Hot Rod (or whoever) and see for yourself. Don't look at peak HP numbers just look at the rpm curve. Depending on what rpm range you are operating in will dictate the intake manifold. If it is low rpm then yes the truck intake, you want...
  14. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

No there goes your under the curve theory, any engine builder will still repeat what I've said.
  15. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Yes anything compared to a truck manifold at 7500 rpm is going to shine, explains my point exactly, but if 7500 is all you are going to rev to then put the 18 manifold on and watch it beat the 350 manifold. Rev it to 8000 and watch the 350 outperform the 18, then watch the CJ kick the shit out...
  16. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

He has not more credibility than anyone doing anything for the industry and I trust engine builders I know personally more than a tuner or suspension guy. As far as avg power goes it depends on the rpm range you are measuring, again for high rpms then yes the CJ is on top for off the shelf...
  17. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Why are you trusting a guy who makes suspension parts on making power? 350 manifold makes more peak, look at the avg power or power under the curve and the 350 loses unless you have the rpm to take advantage of it all, by then I'd skip the 350 and just do a CJ because it beats the 350 handily.
  18. 2021 Mustang GT Premium - Looking to build a little extra oomph but stay NA

Headers, tune, E85 will do it, forget the 350 manifold overall it isn't better than the 2018 stock piece.
  19. Did anyone else get this FordPass notification? Am I dumb or are they removing oil life, odometer, tire pressure, and fuel range from the app?

The manufactures are getting into the insurance game as well, don't be surprised soon that when you buy a new car that it is financed and insured through the manufacturer of the vehicle. Insurance companies will still be around for older used cars, life, and health insurance.

I know but when the cars start reporting back to the dealers and manufacturers about mods or defeat devices it's a problem because they are killing a industry. Do I think anyone cares to know enough about what I do? No, but if I mod my car enough that it tells the dealer I removed certain things...
