The wing rumor was from a CAMT guy and yeah I think he was just talking at CAMT (and prob wrong).

Since I’m in Wisconsin now I’ll probably re-up the Yokes, but I’d definitely try a set of wider 18” RE71s if they make em.

Just moved to a new house and its a bit of a fixer upper (and the truck was in a wreck on the way up here) so the CAMC car is back to daily driver duty for a while. I’ll probably avoid events for a couple weeks so I dont press my luck. 2 is 1 and 1 is none
You moved to Wisconsin? Where about?

The rumor is a 315/30-18 and a 335/30-18 is coming from Bridgestone and some larger 19" sizes (no specifics given), but it's a 2 part rumor... The 2nd part is that there is a whole new Super 200TW tire is coming and it will include those larger sizes. Again, just a rumor at this point.

And of course Vitour is releasing a new P1 with a softer compound.

that looks like there is really no weight on the inside rear tire. Good luck figuring it out. My car does not behave like that. Do you have a bunch of rear shock rebound or something goofy?
I think I need to take this one back. Its getting cold in New England and the slightly lower grip makes chassis behavior much more obvious.

I attempted to drive my first afternoon like my last morning run and spun twice in ~30 seconds:

This was my fastest run and you can see that whenever I squeeze the throttle the car starts to light 'em up and rotate sideways:

The Mustang wants what it wants, which is apparently absolutely not putting power down. The course basically broke pax, giving DST and EST a huge advantage. I still managed 2nd in Pax thanks to Mr. EST carrying a cone.

In defense of the course. Every course can’t be a banger, but every course lets you practice something. The high offsets were fun as long as the car was eagerly rotating. Once the tires got hot, it was just slow motion turning money into tire dust.

Had a good run and starting to learn to love this stiffly sprung version of the car and learning how to drive it better. Finished 4th overall on PAX for the day against some serious competition.

1st place was 3rd in class at nationals, 2nd place won his class at nationals, 3rd place is a 3 time national champion (but in a new car), and 5th place is a former national champion as well driving in a new class to him

Of course this was the day I forgot to pack the Go-Pro with me.

Hard to believe, but first event is going to be 2/1 for us this year. Going to be frigid here in Atlanta. Not looking forward to this early a start, but we only have one location here and between the events the site has planned and the BMW and Porsche events, there are only so many open weekends.

Our HPA course has been shut down in Houston for the foreseeable future, and no alternatives in sight. Looks like full track build incoming now for me.

Tbh, our group has had 6 significant (ie property damage along with the car damage) wrecks over the past 18 months, and while our group was responsible and paid for the damage, other groups (I won't name names, but let's just say sideways is their jam) didn't, and flagrently violated site rules and then posted the videos to social media. Hpa punishes people for making mistakes, especially newer drivers. So imagine a new driver with a passenger hanging out the window "for the 'gram"...

I'm hopefully we find a huge parking lot somewhere.

When the takeover kids mixing it up with the drifters close the lot they just go back to the streets. We dont have that luxury. Sorry to hear you lost that. Also sounds like you may be losing COTA as a potential track as well with their plans to go fully private except for F1 and other racing series.
