It appears my foolishness is showing as well. 8" long springs, even with a low-ish rate, produces a somewhat comical monster truck static ride height. It looks like those get to come out & the 7-inchers go in, lol!

I generally like to run the longest springs I can for a given application as it gives a more consistent rate through the range of motion and reduces the chance of coil-bind. The added spring length + the thickness of the spring perch was just too much, though. Live & learn...
Post is broken, no pics in it.

That roof light make a good pylon finder? Or is the goal to just drive over them? God forbid banging up the exhaust .... like the tidy exits in the rocker.

Had a great event with HouSCCA a few days ago.

It was my first event with 305/30/19 Rivals, no rollbar and. Quick-fit harness vs 6 point harness.

For the first time, I felt connected with the car. Rivals allowed the car to move with great recovery ability.

For results, I finished 2nd in class, but finished 1st in our local DB (Double run) class (mu first double run after class runs would have actually won the class. Oh well...I just have to start quicker.

My best raw time was 13th out of 157 drivers. Best finish ever.

Car didn't break.....no setup changes forthcoming.

It was going to be a struggle for me to be ready for my first local event at zMax on March 6th, but now it looks like I need to suck it up and get this stuff installed. A shakedown event would be nice before the CAM challenge on March 18th-20th. I won't be competitive at all, but a national level event should still be fun.

Well, I've got rear spring changes down to less than 2 hours. I don't think that's too bad, solo.

My initial read is that I like the 850# spring better than the 950#, but that's on the street, so who knows what that will mean competing. First impressions are significantly better bump compliance and more rear grip. I also think the hydraulic spring perches are also an improvement, but maybe that's just because I'm not hearing the lower monoball on the weight-jacker.

national level events are a blast. Tricky tho because you usually only get three shots at a given course layout, and the courses are usually a bit longer. Its a tough challenge to put down an excellent run in only three tries.

Are you going to make the Texas Tour next month?

Is anyone interested in the California swing?

The schedule sucks this year and I’m not gonna be able to make both Optima and the Vegas event work :(
That said, I’ll be at both Crows Landing events. Fuck a Fontana ProSolo in the ear though, never again on that small, bumpy, low grip, smelly lot!!

Did you get registered (it's a Pro Solo btw, not quite dedicated CAM challenge like the one in Peru in August) ? Registration for non-superpass holders opened today, only one S550 signed up to date and pretty sure it isn't yours ;-) Largest class though.

I'm looking at that April event. Maybe see you there? Then the following weekend at the small, bumpy, low grip, smelly lot.
