If you have an issue with clearance or find it's tight, you can always park your car on rubber mats. I also use jack stands for extra "insurance" if I'm going to be working under the car.

Yeah I place jack stands but the Quickjack is very safe. Doesn't hurt to be extra safe, just in case there is an earthquake or who knows.

Here is my method.

I also added the roller balls under the frames. It was tricky to find the perfect locations for them. Too far up the angled frame and the lift still drags on the floor. Too low on the frame could cause clearance issues when positioning under your car.
May want to remove my jacking rails too, I feel it would make it way easier.

Mine were low profile rails, meaning they were about flush with the pinch welds. I don't like a lowered car, so my jacks slide under with just enough clearance to the front pinch weld pucks I use. Nevertheless I removed and sold my rails. Haven't missed them since I got the Quickjack. At the track, I go back to the floor jack directly on the pinch weld at one corner method.

Get the 5000. The 7000 are overkill for a mustang and are almost too long.

I think the X version is too long for the Mustang. I have the 7000 because of our Explorer's weight, and it fits just a bit short. But it is the best one for use on both cars.

Besides, OP said his QJ arrives today anyway.

I have the 7000TL and I manage just fine. I'm sure it will be easier with the 5000 but the 7000 is good for me.

Nice, I have been wanting these but I have the Steeda Jacking rails. Would this make it easier I wonder. The jacking rails sometimes makes it a little more difficult to place the pads correctly.
I had the BMR rails and didn’t like the fit/compression (of the QJ rubber pads) when I attempted to raise the vehicle. The zl1 lift pads were better for my liking

I have the 7000TLX and it’s perfect for the Mustang, overkill perhaps but it serves double duty for lifting the Gladiator

If anyone needs a set of the ZL1 Addons jacking pads, I just took a set off my GT350 after I installed Steeda jacking rails. They're black and have some minor scratches on them. $50 - buyer pays shipping.

Potentially stupid question, but where are you placing your jack stands for extra "insurance"? And what jack stands go that high?

Also, when using be sure to place them so the lines are coming out towards the rear of the vehicle for better support of front end weight.

Nah not stupid. If I go to the 1st level (click) jack stands extend ok. If I go to the maximum height of 2 ft, I put the stands on blocks. There are jack stand points for the car.

I have these jacks stands under that go really high up. They are called US Jack. High quality made in USA.

Suppose to receive my Quick Jack tomorrow. Any advice from those of you using this Jack? Use, setup or maintenance experience? Thanks!
I love my QJ. My car is on them now and I go up and down everyday for my winter mods.
BUT: Follow the directions verbatim. Servicing, going up and down to bleed the lines ETC.
FYI: Always make sure before you start using them that the VENT IS OPEN or you will suck the tank in and cause issues.
- Never get complacent while using them. Always Visually verify every time you are lowering that both side ARMs moving freely over the locks and car staying level.
- I also never ever raise or lower without laying on the floor by one side physically watching both sides going up or down, looking at the arms ETC.
- Lastly, if you are raising your car in your garage, keep the garage door open to ensure you don't hit the door. I think they move back about 12" from floor position to all the way up to second lock
**Because you don't want to end up on You Tube with your car laying on its side LOL
Good Luck
