Took a look at some of the other threads and didn't see this answered but apologies if it's already posted.
I am having a dilemma with my track set-up and wanted to see if anyone had any insight. Been running Michelin PS4 during the summer (autoslalom and open lapping) and Michelin Pilot Sport...
It was set to "on". The notice on the dash came on over a bump on the course and only came on for one run so I'm wondering if it was due to that. I'll check the wheel hubs as well though. Thanks!
Hi all,
I have searched the forums regarding this issue but couldn't find anything specific to autocross. For background, I have a 2015 GT with a couple of OEM and after-market suspension and brake modifications.
At an event yesterday, in the middle of my run, the "Service AdvanceTrac" notice...
Looking for a diffuser for the base GT. Was interested in something like the Verus engineering one but open to anything that fits the base car. Located in Canada but open to shipping from wherever (Canada or US). Thanks!
Thanks for all of the informative answers. Just an update from my original post, I drove a used 2021 GT PP and while it was a fantastic car (and Magneride was excellent), it did not handle the same as my modified 2015 during spirited driving on the road. It was a good learning experience and I...
Hi all,
Relatively new to posting on the forum and relatively new to modifying Mustangs (been modifying mine for about two years now). I have a base 2015 GT that has been modified to be a weekend track/autocross car and also a daily driver. Relative mods to this post include front struts, rear...
I upgraded the pads on my GT to "performance pads" and found that within one season, I was back to needing more stopping power. Did the Brembo upgrade last weekend plus some cooling upgrades (brake ducts, chin splitter to redirect air flow etc.).
I don't regret doing the pads first as it was a...
Sorry to hear that! Hope the repairs go smoothly. Mine got smushed when it was parked at a dealer by someone who wasn't even backing up...just driving straight out of the parking lot. Scary when people can't even handle their cars at 5mph...
I thought I read somewhere that the Mustang is programmed to let you play a little bit and then kick in to create the illusion of a wild beast before it kicks in. And yes, you can definitely get power oversteer without turning it off! The back tires will break away before it kicks in.
Interesting! I've just installed them for the ease of lifting the car up to change from track tires to street tires etc. and I'm curious whether I will notice a difference on the track. I thought I could tell that a bit of weight had been added but that may very well be in my own head...
Unless you get a later build date of the first year (and use caution when buying!). Mine is a 2015 but it was built closer to when the production for the 2016 ones began.
I wish I had bought a PP but at the time, I didn't know I would use it. Currently building my base GT to be similar to the PP (BMR suspension etc) although it is more fun customizing your own car! Imo, the Ford leather seats are not worth it but that is just personal preference. The cloth ones...
I think it is a great SUV on its own without the name. But I can assure you that it won't be a Mustang. Everyone has their own opinions though and I am interested to hear the first driving reports nonetheless!
You can put lipstick on a pig but at the end of the day, it's still a pig. The Mustang badge is just lipstick on the pig that is the Mach-E. You can put a Mustang badge on anything if you really wanted to; doesn't make it a Mustang. It's a feeling that you get when you drive it and I can assure...
