I am looking to get my Gen 2 coyote auto car, P1x, catless LTH, Fore Dual pump Id1050x, ported 18 manifold car into the 850's or so. i have looked in MULTIPLE threads from multiple years and everyone says they make this much and that much with a a specific pulley. some people say 4.5 gives them 15 lbs. Tomorrow i am installing an AEM Boost gauge to try and get accurate readings but im on a 4.13 pulley and im pretty sure im around 13lbs but im not 100% sure. Any up to date pulley numbers? im Lund tuned. Does elevation affect boost by that much?

Are you talking about a stage two kit?

On 16lb I made 892whp with p1x but mine is a carb legal kit so I can’t help with pulley sizes if you have a stage2

Elevation makes a huge difference in boost. The higher up the "thinner" (less oxygen) the air is and less to compress. One major thing that drag racers look at is the Density Altitude which takes into account this altitude (barometric pressure) while also adding in temperature and humidity. Cars run almost a full half second quicker with super low DA in the cold vs the warm high DA days

Yes ambient temperature, elevation and inlet will make a difference. You might be close to your goal with that pulley without an inlet. Dyno dependent too. 4.13 is around 13psi.

Boost is relative to restriction, and DA. I am building my 2018 with a P1X with 850 RW as my goal also. My kits pulley is a 4.38 (18 is different from Gen 2's) as spec'd by PC for 12# boost. I'm adding a MAK Hurricane intake which should give me another 1.5# of boost from less inlet restriction.

Yeah forgot to mention stg 2 and that is what i am looking to run, i know my engine might go boom but im looking for that power right now..

Yeah i am not using the inlet whenever i run, if it were at around 13psi, isnt it 1 lb per .10 pulley usually? so i should be using 3.9 or so for 15lbs? (only if i measure boost with boost gauge of course)

I would talk to either the company that’s going to tune you or where you are getting your kit from. I’d recommend the kits from companies like beefcake because they have what you need for a power goal and parts work together

if you have a specific number on mind go to the dyno with a couple pulleys and belts. Start with the 4.13

well i have the kit already sorry might've written it wrong lol my tuner is unsure what the boost is at or should be and i spoke with PC and they gave me a belt number that is way off from what i needed, not their fault since there are multiple brackets and kits.

I guess its mostly up to me to do the testing, i just wanted to avoid spending money on pulleys i dont need since i have tested so many already.. i have 4.88 which is the one the kit came with 4.38, 4.13 and whatever the new one will be

Gen 2 here P1X Stage 2 With very similar supporting mods. I’m on a 4.38 pulley car made 750 WHP 12lbs of boost. I plan to drop pulleys soon to a 4.13 maybe a 4inch pulley. I want to be around 800-820 WHP

I just added an AEM boost gauge and i did a small pull in 2nd gear and it was 14lbs at peak. i will do a solid run to make sure it is at that but i am thinking 3.9.. i know its sketch at that point, i'll probably be at 16lbs

No reason for it to go boom
850 is pretty lofty for stock block long term especially if planning on beating on it pretty hard.
