If you’re not drag racing every weekend desiring 900+whp and shooting for 8’s or lower, go with a TVS Roots. (VMP Gen3R).

What’s interesting is that Magnuson 2650 rotor pack used in the VMP actually powers the fastest Gen6 PD blower Camaro (1450 WHP, 8.2@173). If he can get the launch nailed it’s a 7 second car all day. So the new PD blowers can make stupid power. Heck I’m at 1059 WHP on my Whipple 3.0 and have another 20-25% blower speed left.

That said, if I would have known I was going to like drag racing, I probably would have bought a Procharger lmao! The low end torque of the PD is difficult to tame at launch…!

But if it’s anything over 70% driven on the street, nothing more fun than a PD. At the Drag Strip, My grandmother could launch my setup lol. Footbrake it to 1800, and go.

For sure! PD blower on the street makes it feel like you’re driving a big block 572…just silly torque everywhere at any RPM. 😎

I’ve installed literally every blower available, multiple times and have tuned a few of them. I’d recommend 1. Whipple, 2. VMP, 3. ProCharger, 4. Vortech/ Paxton. But that’s just a suggestion and a preference.

I personally don’t like the build up of boost like a centri, for a street car I think they’re boring. That instant hit if a Whipple, VMP or TT car is just amazing.
I also look at quality, quality of connectors, packaging, everything and customer service. It’s really hard to beat the first two, OEM quality and awesome support. Power delivery and capability is hard to beat as well.

They all serve their purpose though and every kit will put a huge grin on your face!

Undecided on a supercharger to buy for my 2016. Looking to make 7-725 rwhp on 93. Would love to here everyones opinion.
Everyone is pretty much going to recommend what they have on their car, thats the nature of the beast, you really just have to weigh out the pros and cons of each kit, if you want custom tuning or a complete kit, do you need something for CARB, and for some just looks.

We do more coyote power adders than anyone, feel free to give me a ring or DM , and we can go over options for you, i try to walk through options with all power adder customers personally.

the paxton is the least expensive kit out there and best bang for the buck, whipple has an amazing factory tune, porcharger has an awesome sound, so many good options

On a street car at 725whp a Whipple (or a TVS like VMP) on a manual car is very hard to beat in the seat-o-the-pants meter and the smile-o-meter. Despite the prevailing sentiments of some here, they aren't that hard to control off the line if, you don't treat the gas pedal as an on/off switch and can actually drive. The centri's are much better in an A10 car because it puts the car in the rpm range that is most beneficial for making power. That's not to say they aren't fun on a manual car, because they certainly are, but PD superchargers on a manual car are really really fun.

I love my P1X, it was on the car when I bought it. Honestly I've not been in other boosted S550's ( would love to ride in a PD car) so I have nothing to compare to. The Procharger can be alittle lazy on the street but helps with traction... so I ordered a Circle D 4c and its being installed in a few weeks can't wait to see what that like. Lastly, I did see a Gen 2 S550 with a VMP at the strip and it was very impressive!

Like beefcake said, the converter is where it’s at. It can be lazy and with a converter, a good converter setup for a centrifugal, it can get out like a PD.

I'm hoping this is the case, thanks again for the quick shipping on my converter!
