Hi all,

I’m ready to start over with my build in hopes of fixing something’s (trying to find reasons for my knock) and cleaning up the bay. I DO have plans for this car with the end goals to be south of 1000w. I do plan on purchasing an Aluminator or having my current engine forged to be able to handle the foreseeable power but let’s talk superchargers. I’m pretty set on keeping it a centri car but while I revamp the car I’ve been talking to my tuner and we both agreed that a larger head unit would be best to meet my goals.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I won’t be living at 1000w so I know the P1X would be adequate, and for quite a while I may add, especially to have a solid 850-900w for an everyday setup. But I do want a nice ripper when I add on a tire, pulley down, and hit the 1320.

Now, for those who did the P1X to D1X how has your experience been? Do you regret spending the $2k to upgrade? Does it make more power at the same pulley size vs the P1X? Less temps? Have you pushed it more - over 1000whp? I looked into the F1A94 and that's just too much blower for my build.

This isn’t my only car, but I would still like to have A/C and have the ability to cruise it on the weekends while being able to smash gears at the track.

Also, for shits and giggles, would it be better to sell my entire kit and choose something like a Vortech JTB or an ESS G3X/R?

If you are shooting for 1000whp I would say go up to the D1X. Trying to make that on the P1X is going to put a lot of stress on it and possibly over spin it. I've seen a couple cars make 900 on the P1X. The ESS and Vortech kits are great but I don't see a need to swap the entire system. The D1X will be more than enough in my opinion.

I appreciate it!

I want to say the most I’ve seen (through years of research) was 920w… but it was 7-8k rpms over max rpm, Gen3 and I believe cams were also added.

Not discrediting 920w since that’s a lot of power from the P1X but it’s no 1000w.

I find that hard to believe… 😅
Pulley down and find out. Spin it 8k over, it will make some power. I've been 150 with a p1sc and we know the p1x can make more than that.

That’s pretty darn good with a P1SC

why am I hearing otherwise?
Because people love to talk. There are a lot of p1x cars at 1000whp. A gen3 at 20psi on a p1x will make 1000whp.
the d1x according to procharger can only make 125 more hp than the p1x. If you really really need that 125 then I guess
