Thats what I thought, you don't know.

Fans at 80 do nothing.

Reason I suggest a larger radiator;

Mine with a 170 T stat ran 195 to 200 CHT's and 190 coolant temps with the base radiator. I added the PP rad and it now runs 185 to 190 CHT's and 180 coolant temp.
I would like an even larger radiator. I'd rather have too much radiator than enough. just me.
I think I am going to replace the radiator. I’ll have to decide if the extra $140-$180 is worth it.

There are a few on this board, I'm not one of them.
Right. Combination of fueling and timing IMO. His oil temps are normal. coolant temps are normal. trans temps are normal. I'd send a log to the tuner and see what they say. That said, I take out a few spark plugs and give them a looksee in the meantime.

You got me thinking;

The coolant temp is inferred, The gauge is in the normal range.
@tdstuart

You did not log CHT in your posted logs. Engine coolant temp is logged and tops at 207 for a few seconds in log e85 2

I'm wondering if your CHT sensor is not working correctly. Can you log that parameter and post it.

Also on the bottom of your log is a bunch of channels that are all showing 0 delete them for a faster poll rate.

Go fund me ? LOL
What were the results of the higher RPM 80 mph test ?
You didn’t answer, did you fully flush out the cooling system after your head stud and engine failure ?

When the car is cold grab the bottom hose and if you can squeeze it shut it needs to be replaced.
There is no need for fans at 80Mph.

What in the tune could cause this?
Retarded spark advance

If you look at his logs all that is fine. Running about 30 degrees advance Fueling is fine ect.

Fine assuming that the quality of the e85 is good. If it's not, he might be getting lots of detonation which could create high temps. I doubt this is the issue here, but it's worth a thought. I read somewhere many tuners desensitize the knock sensors for e85 tunes, but that may be untrue.

As far as I can tell, the cooling system simply can't keep up. Either due to air pockets or a component that's clogged or not working right. A good test would be removing the thermostat and see if anything changes. The reische ones are usually good, but I have heard of them failing before.

At work will test in a few hours. And no I didn’t do a full flush but I replaced all the coolant. I don’t have any reason to suspect anything would have gotten into the coolant as the bearing just spun, it looks like little black flakes though.
