Stock OEM original installed or stock replacement ?
A stock replacement from car parts.com haha. It worked fine before I rebuilt motor. I have seen a few black specs floating in the coolant so maybe some particles are blocking the radiator up.

He shouldn’t need to at all. Stock cooling system is 100% sufficient as designed. Normal driving conditions in Arizona on 115° days doesn’t even cause issues. Power level really has nothing to do with radiator sizing. Beating around here and there along with normal driving even at higher speeds (Not 120+mph sustained obviously) puts no more thermal load on the cooling system. High sustained road course racing for 12-20 minute sessions is where thermal effectiveness plays the biggest challenge on a cooling system.

I make a little more power than stock (LOL) My cooling system is OEM stock, has no problem handling 90-95°F days of tooling around flogging the car, even with the extra heat under the hood from the blower, and the engine having to turn it. Not to mention everything is BLACK!!

I rarely see CHT’s over 204°F. Usually it hovers between 192-198°.
Altitude also takes a big toll on the stock radiator. Climbing mountain passes would put me in the 230's cht. Pp rad upgrade made a huge difference. With shutters locked out I'm almost never above 200 unless I'm climbing a hill at 40mph or less lol

Might be too many mods to flash to stock tune. I honestly don’t understand how a hose would collapse if it’s pressurized, can someone educate me?
If the water pump is drawing well, but there’s a restriction in the radiator, the bottom hose can collapse under created vacuum from the high draw. Many older systems utilize a coil spring inside the lower radiator hoses so the hose doesn’t collapse.

Climbing MOUNTAIN passes even at low altitude would be a much bigger load on the engine as well :).

Did you completely flush out the entire cooling system after the last motor blew to smithereens ?

Deteriorated hoses can collapse as well. Caution though cause they might look fine on the outside.

After turning the heater on full blast it dropped to mid 220s

didn’t you have an overheating problem before? That could damage the hoses also have you checked you overflow tank cap? Are you sure your fan is ramping up as your driving around? Maybe it’s stuck in 1 speed. I know that the AC fan is set at one speed but the radiator fan has multi speed. Could you have plugged them incorrectly?

What leads you to believe that? Fans seem to be running and tune hasn’t changed since it was running good

How would I know it’s collapsing?
When the car is cold grab the bottom hose and if you can squeeze it shut it needs to be replaced.
There is no need for fans at 80Mph.
ok I take everything I said back, that's a tuning issue.
What in the tune could cause this?

Reason I suggest a larger radiator;

Mine with a 170 T stat ran 195 to 200 CHT's and 190 coolant temps with the base radiator. I added the PP rad and it now runs 185 to 190 CHT's and 180 coolant temp.
I would like an even larger radiator. I'd rather have too much radiator than enough. just me.
