What are cylinder head temperatures running under normal driving conditions for GT owners with factory thermostats? City? Hwy? Thank you, Charles

Spirited driving, 200-205. City driving sitting in traffic I've seen it go up to 225. With the cool temps lately it's been 190-195 during my commute home.

Usually about 5* higher than coolant temps. So on average mine sit at 205 during DD

Thanks for everyone's responses. I went back to the factory 180 from a Reisch 170 when it failed to kept the engine at proper running temp and threw codes. Now cruising temps between 200 and 210. I live in Louisiana. I'm sure when summer gets here it will go up. I have a Lund tune and they responded to my email saying no problem going back to factory.

Factory does not operate at 180, more like 195. At least that's what mine does.

Did you throw codes in the summer with the Reisch thermostat? I know on there website they don't recommend it for winter conditions.

Just started throwing codes last Friday. Head temps went down to 158*F and it was only 55*F outside. So I put in a factory stat and had a local shop clear the code. Weird thing none of the Baton Rouge Ford dealerships had a thermostat in stock. I had to drive 45 minutes to get one. Who would have thunk.
