Like what? Other than the tune/device
Hes probably talking about fuel system, injectors, e85 compatible stuff even though its not necessary.

A full max effort 93 setup which is ready to accept a fuel system to make enough power to need a built motor costs 8500$ plus tune and device. Thats what i paid. Other setups are cheaper

Those things are all on the ESS page when you select the options for your kit. He surely can't be talking about that.

Snow is rather rare where im at around the ky/va/tn state area so I can just use my truck for those times. I discovered real quick a cold wet road and I need to drive like a sloth even with good new tires it still spun on me giving it some throttle at 50mph and its stock. However just because it has huge power doesn't mean I have to use it. Its kinda why I bought it over a motorcycle as I can still drive it year round in comfort. Even going slow its still fun to drive around in. I do have a very short drive to work a mere 1.4 miles. At most I might put 10k-12k miles a year on it probably less.

Well sounds like you could drive anything to work at 1.4 miles.

A vast majority of people with a TT s550 don't drive in the rain. Think true daily, 100deg sitting in traffic for an hour, 15k miles a year, rain/snow, cold start and go, short trips, vacation long trip... Real daily driver, is anyone here doing that? I am with my vortech f150, but it's a mild setup by design to accommodate the above.
Coming from a TT guy (me), I would agree with this. Lots of rain with concern me with the low mounted turbos. So would snow.

That said, where I live, I could daily my Mustang easily.. We have mild weather in SoCal vs the rest of the country. My car does fine with the A/C on in 100* heat, even with the 4.5" intercooler.

There is a lot of hidden cost in ESS that I don't think a lot of people realize.
I can imagine that it is. It’s the same for turbo setups too and I can vouch for that myself.

yes to all except for the TT part, as low mounts make zero sense in a good ol Texas downpour…hence the ProCharger 😬

I do all that except snow. 116k miles on the car. Installed the twins at 48k miles. Lots of 120° days stuck in traffic driving home. We don't get a lot of rain here but I've been stuck out in some of our worst storms treading water with out issue.

Way to go on getting your money's worth! I'm all about simply enjoying the vehicle everyday, that's what I aim to do with my truck. Unfortunately my mustangs is just not comfortable to drive alot. It's so loud, rides stiff etc. It does have factory leather, stereo and cold ass AC tho.

Running 62/66 Hellion street sleeper kit here, was previously procharged before I went turbo. 708whp on wastegate 9.5 psi on pump 93. Stupid power on e85 and 14psi. Absolutely love my hellion setup cars an animal. But I only drive my car a few hundred miles a year and my car never seen a winter and only seen rain maybe twice. Yes it does have almost factory drive ability out of boost but my recommendation for a DD would be a basic PD/roots style supercharger if you want low end power and daily 4 season drive ability. Cheaper, way easier install. I wouldn’t want salt and winter elements eating away at my vacuum lines ā€œboost controlā€, turbos and oil lines feel like it’s a matter of time before you would have issues.

Also I did get stuck in some rain once and car made it home issue free, on the street I run the elbows and filters the kit comes with. But I will say the car def didn’t like it one bit.

The more I read and see the more a supercharger does make more sense, if I don't go turbo I would go with the ess supercharger, for the price its hard to beat, there also way lighter than anything else. I have a 10 speed so it would work perfectly with it. The lack of low end is probably a good thing anyway as that should help with traction on the street.
