2020 GT pp1 premium A10 bone stock. 275 PS4s on the back with lots of tread Been to the track twice in the last 2 weeks. I consistently get a 13-13.2. 60 foot times usually 2.2-2.3. I’ve tried sport, track, and drag with a combination of taking off at idle or keeping it revved to roughly 1500rpm. Also I’ve tried with and without burnout. I did manage to sneak in a 12.8 in sport with traction control on and no burnout but could not replicate it. I’ve seen people on here talk about stock cars doing low to mid 12s. Any advice to improve 60’ and ET is greatly appreciated. Here’s my 3 fastest times last night

Air temp? Tire pressure?

Not sure how much DA is going to impact a stock NA car.

When you take off how much work is the traction control having to do?

The autos have launch control also don't they? I have never tried using it on my 18 if it has it because I have a Trans brake. That would be a good tool.

Also with a hard street tire you don't need to do a crazy burn out. Just enough to kick the dirt/rocks off of it and stuff. Also letting air out is not going to help much. You have a hard sidewall that isn't really going to flex.

Drag mode should get you the best time as it allows for the most weight transfer to the rear of the stock setup. But it's going to be marginal on a stock car.

I would do a few test burn outs at different tire pressure looking at the contact patch until you find the pressure that leaves the flatest footprint behind. Too little air in a radial and your burnout will be light in the middle but heavey on the outsides. Vise versa for a tire with too much air. There is at least 3ths you're leaving behind in the first 60ft which can equate to 6ths at the finish line.

DA is everything, especially stock NA cars. I was running consistent 13.0 last time out at 6400 ft. In spring I was running 12.5-12.6 at 2500ft. Drag times calculator says I'd be at 11.9's at sea level with these same numbers, which is of course where all the published numbers measure at.

Could simply be DA. I'll ask my friend (2022 gt auto) who was running consistent mid-12s for his time slip and what mode and TC setting he used.

If I remember right he did a small burnout each time. He was running the factory tires and wheels and probably didn't mess with air pressure.

As far as I can tell your car just seems like it isn't making the usual power, due to DA. Your 60' times aren't terrible for a stock car, but they could certainly be better (1.9-2.0 would be good).

Eh I just don't see the point on beating up on a stock car like that. DA is going to impact any car drag racing I just meant any gains you pick up in a stock NA car are going to be marginal compared to a forced air induction car.

Getting the car to hook up decently on stock wheels and suspension is going to be most of the battle. Can't load them up because the tires are too skinny and hard.

Sure you can launch from almost an idle but you lose a ton of time trying to get these Coyotes into any decent RPM range to make power. They are garbage at low RPMs.

Seems like the gains may be 1sec+ and 8mph+ depending on DA.

DA was 3550. Another GT base stock was running 12.7
