Anyone have a 2018 manifold laying around that could measure the spacer? I'll machine my own if I knew the exact height. I have the vortech spacers to measure ID and OD but need height.
I accidently threw mine out when installing the supercharger. I'm returning the vehicle to stock and was hoping someone knows where to buy these spacers? When I search I just get aftermarket injector results.
I'm going to sell or trade the car soon to pursue other interests.
Kit number 4FQ218-230JT. Will come with everything that originally came in the kit including BAP, injectors, instructions and tuning device (would strongly suggest a different tuner and device) minus the K and N filter but...
If you are looking for something that's feels fast during normal driving, I would go with a roots style. The centrifugal is great but gives very little power under normal driving conditions. If your drag racing or get to open it up regularly the centrifugal is great. If your not prepared to...
I'm strongly considering trading/selling my car. I think I'm likely to come out in much better shape if I return it to stock and sell my parts and the car separately.
Anyone return to stock after installing the vortech kit? Any pieces other then the fan shroud that was needed? I have everything...
My last car was a 2018 Scat Pack Challenger. I've now got about the same miles on my mustang as I did when I got rid of the challenger. If you are not brand loyal, it's honestly just a better fitting car for more people, I mean you can even get awd.
The challenger: more comfortable, larger...
Thank you for the replies. Unfortunately just confirming what I already suspected lol. I don't need to sell it right now so maybe I'll pop it up around spring or just keep it and get to the track more often.
I'm thinking of selling the mustang to focus on some investment plans.
Wondering what a reasonable price would be with the mods?
2021 GT, 401A, black accent pkg, 10 SPEED AUTO, 6,500 miles around 3k with a vortech kit, renegade axels, set of VMS rear wheels and drag radials.
For private buyers, it's a lot more attractive to buy a car that is being sold with the title in hand. Having to deal with your bank on top of the rest of the purchase process has always been a turn off for me when purchasing a car as some banks take weeks to get the title process moving.
The install was very simple and if I had gone with a better tune/fuel option from the beginning, this would've likely been a very fun experience. If it was a car that had to be driven though and I couldn't take my time, I'd have it installed and tuned at the same place if available.
Winter...
Well the last tune they sent me over a month ago runs terrible at low rpm but top end seems all better.
Last track day for the year so I decided to just run it.....10.8 @130mph
Looking forward to someone else's tune next year.
Anyone successfully install a new belt with vortech's terrible design? Any tips for someone with really large hands?
I definitely regret not getting the quick belt change bolt.... Will be getting it for sure. After an hour of trying to get the ribbed pulley and it's spacers back in, dropping...
Yesterday my supercharger belt shredded a rib and destroyed this vacuum connection and my brakes went crazy. Can I replace this with standard vacuum hose or is there something unique to this piece?
The hits keep coming for me on this thing. Cannot find any issues mechanically. I'm going to have to try a different tuner for sure.
Today I did a pull on the way home and piece of the belt shredded and smacked into this vacuum connection causing the brakes to go insane. Anyone know the part...
