lol

I think were up to 62 or 63 dyno runs on our car
I don't want to compete with you on that front. So you think with datalog there could still be some more to get out?

How does everything work when 1 tune is set for 6500 RPM and 1 is set for 7000 RPM? Also, isn't 7000 RPM a bit harder on the car, I see it goes into the little warning part of the red-line.

datalogging lets us see everything that's going on with the car,

especially with the trans

wot tuning is easy, spark and fuel. and of course with vct, playing with the cams to pick up some power

there is a good deal of trans tuning to do on the cars.

a datalog will let us see shift points, etc..

7k is no big deal..

Send a log in to see what things look like only they would be able to tell.

Below are the parameters we need you to manually select before you begin logging.
ect_degf
iat_in_degf
load
maf_flow_rate_lb_per_min
maf_frequency
measured_afr_bank_1
measured_afr_bank_2
rpm
spark_advance
spark_advance_v2
torque_source
vehicle_speed_mph
short_term_trim_1
short_term_trim_2
knock_sensor
throttle_angle_actual
The process to get the log is this:
Once the car is started and up to operating temp, start the log. Let the car idle for at least 2 minutes. Drive the car like normal for a couple minutes. Now, do a couple 3rd gear WOT pulls from 2500-7200 RPM. Once you have done the WOT pulls you are done. Save the Log as a .CSV file and reply to this email with the log as an attachment.

would also need

variable valve timing intake bank 1 actual
variable valve timing intake bank 2 actual

I would like to datalog, just gotta find a weekend that's not raining to drive around a bit. I think I saw a pretty good how to video but seems pretty straight-forward. What MPH should I expect to get up to so I make sure I have room?

4th is optimal, but you probably won't have roads to do that, so 3rd is good

but you can also log driving around, we can tweak shifting how you like, when it shifts, how it shifts, etc..

track would be optimal

Down to 12.849

Just got back from the track, only change was taking the spare tire out, slips and video links below:

DA factor was 1423. Corrected best time goes down to 12.65 (Also still with extra ~100 lbs of stereo system)

Most interesting video. The rest are on my channel.

Talk about consistant times. Why would my MPH be all over if everything else was so similar? Look at 1 vs 4.

Are you manual or automatic? Sounds like an automatic from the video.

What gear were you in when you were tripping the lights?

I believe the mph is calculated on the average of the two lights at the end of the track, if you are letting off the gas that could effect it I believe.

Any tire spin or wheel hop at the start? Could possibly affect those trap speeds.

Good consistency I say. Now to work on the little things to drop that ET. :) As you say all that "dead" weight of stereo equipment isn't helping. ;)

Auto, I'm not positive because I was trying to figure that out but I swear when I saw the lights on multiple runs I was at 115 mph already and I didn't let up until a second of two after that. Does this video answer your wheel hop question...
I've tried anywhere from idle to 2000 RPM launch and this still happens on any run. Planning on getting those PSS when the time comes, not ready for drag radials yet.

There is a little hop & spin there.

How long of a cool down between runs? Maybe a little heat soak pulling some timing maybe.

What did you have your rear tires pressure set at?

I was trying to listen, were you crossing the lights in 3rd gear or was it trying to shift into 4th at the lights? If the automatic is trying to shift into 4th right there at the end of the 1/4 it could explain a slight drop of trap speed on a couple of your runs. You have the stock 3.15 gears correct?
