Buh buh just wait for the turbo? buh buh wait for the ZL1

Buh buh new excuse of the day.

Problem is Ford's base model is the V6 at $24k, Eco $25.5k.

Chevy's base is the turbo (only 275hp) and starts at just under $27k, the V6 starting at $28k (base models stick).

Their prices are more expensive than the comparable Mustang by a few thousand dollars. $3,000 is a lot to people for a base model sub $30k car.

WTF 28K for a V6 WOW!!!!! hell you can get a Base V6 Mustang for $19,000

Pretty much this. Just needs a refresh.
That's put 6G Camaro in production for 2 years then my 18' refresh. That seem to be in a rush which is not good thing for GM, it will drive the cost of Camaro even more.

GM will let Camaro do or die this time with 6G like the last time.

Yet somehow the Mustang had 390hp in 2003 and over 500hp in 2007 without any competition "pushing" it. That argument just doesn't hold as much weight as everyone wants it to.
That wasn't an argument against the Mustang... I was just making a point that competition creates better vehicles. That part is true. If you don't believe that you're wrong. That's not an opinion. It's a fact.

It wasn't a comment meant to get people upset. You wouldn't have nearly as good of a car on either side if the other didn't exist. This is true for any/every manufacture/service out there.

Still don't believe me? Just look at how crappy and expensive internet is in the US compared to the rest of the developed world. Monopolies and lack of competition creates little incentive for companies to improve.

How many times must this have happened already: Ma and Pa Kettle drive down the street, and see Craig Camaro cleaning his awesome 14 Camaro. Craig buys a 16 in the same color, and they don't realize, they give him a toot, whilst heading to home sweet home. Just up the street, Micheal Mustang would be washing his familiar 14 Stang. But when Micheal is spotted waxing his NEW AND VERY HANDSOME 16, they know they must comment on how great his new Pony looks, while pumping him for all the details for the next 15 minutes !!

Damn this is very much possibly true, the 18" refresh is gonna murder camaro sales! ford is looking for the kill!

cause I mean if they want to compete with ford they'll have to lower prices (which means less performance stuff on their cars? Idk) and then people will be like camaro isn't the same/camaro wimped/camaro isn't a performance car anymore/

I couldn't explain it well but yeah something like that lol

I proved you wrong. Ford created better vehicles after it killed off the competition. That's not an opinion. It is a fact.
No. No you didn't, your ignorance of how a free market works is astounding though. Either that or your attempts at trolling with thePill following you around are laughable.

Anyone intelligent knows how a free market works. What I stated about was a fact. If you can't accept that, that's not my problem.

I'm sorry you're so butt-hurt over something. This exchange is over.

I know looks are subjective, so it is hard to quantify what looks good. To me it's like quantifying 'normal' If the vast majority of a given population think something is normal than it is. For example, in Korea it is perfectly normal to eat dogs, the thought of which I as a dog owner and lover as well as most Americans and Europeans find abhorrent.

My friend bought a 15 Camaro a few months before I got my S550. We parked them side by side at a BBQ with lots of our friends present, about 20 people. When asked, everyone except one person (guess who that was ) said the S550 looked better. he nearly lost his shit when his wife agreed.

In my mind that, along with the sales numbers serves as a decent baseline to objectively quantify a subjective attribute and tidily explains why a 2nd model year Mustang is outselling a first year Camaro.

The excuses these Camaro6G members come up with for lack of sales is hilarious!!
You can tell some of these guys have absolutely no concept of how a business is ran. Probably have never taken any type of business management or accounting classes.
Bunch of morons circle jerking each other to lessen the butt hurt they're experiencing.

To be fair, the Mustang crowd was the same way when the sales (for the first time pretty much ever) were in the opposite direction. Although they weren't nearly as polarizing as they are currently. However, everyone has a business degree when you're on the internet. lol. I don't see the Camaro gaining its ground back anytime soon. That is unless GM comes out with a cheaper base Camaro. Even then I doubt it. I think what drove the hype for the Camaro was Transformers (Plus the 10-13 Camaro was pretty nice looking on the outside IMO). Outside of that, why would anyone, now, want to pay way more for one car when they can get a car similar in performance for much less? Very few people care about drag times or 0-60 times. And if they do, there's plenty of upgrades for that. I've been really tempted lately to pick up an EB Mustang and see just how much I can get out of it upgrading the turbos. I loved it when I test drove one.

I'm an American dog owner and don't find it abhorrent. Its just that if you teach a dog to bring you your slippers, you never have to get them yourself again. But if you eat the dog, you have to get your slippers yourself for the rest of your life.

I have a new 10 week old puppy and am struggling to get him to not eat my slippers or pee in the house. Couldn't imagine eating him or any other dog regardless. Maybe a better correlation would be cannibalism?

GM needed to get blue print of 4th Gen Camaro and start redesign for 7th Gen.

WTF 28K for a V6 WOW!!!!! hell you can get a Base V6 Mustang for $19,000
Base model MSRP:
Mustang: $24,145
Camaro is $26,695

Mid Grade?
Mustang: $25,645
Camaro: $28,190

Also, you can't really compare V6 to V6 since they're technically two different levels of trim. However, the mid grade Mustang MSRP is cheaper than the base model Camaro MSRP. GG Chevy...
Sure there are Mustangs out there new and heavily discounted but I have a feeling there will be A LOT of Camaros out there that way pretty soon too. That is if GM wants to sell any... lol. Mustang is deff more attractive to the average buyer price wise.
