Vent the hood to help with engine compartment heat soak.
Yep got it planned. Just haven’t found the time. Got 100 things going right now and my fiance would kick me out if I run the grinder at 11pm when I finally get time to work on my car.

Haha not quite. She likes the cars but as I put in another thread, starting up my car in the morning was waking her up so she started getting up at 5am and going to bed at 9:30. Gotta compromise somewhere, I’d be a real asshat to limit her sleeping hours to 12am to 6am only because I need to work on my car lol

South ATL...was 98 on Sunday. Went to get gas/starbucks in the afternoon and while sitting in line, my IAT hit 130. The idle went up to 710. Felt bad for girl. After driving temps went down to the 110s. I have OEM intake with K&N filter.

Joe you gotta drill out the holes on the intake side of your grille. We saw 95* last weekend and IATs never went about 110-115 even sitting in stop and go traffic. I have the same k&n filter in oem intake.

Do you have a pic that shows the area you're talking about?

How about installing a high flow computer fan to the backside of the grill in front of the air intake snorkel to cool down the air charge?

What about this area? Any benefit to opening up?

No not unless you have a fenderwell intake.

The upper grill section is huge to open up. You have a big snorkel going directly to the airbox and it's supposed to breathe through 1/4 the opening. By opening that part of the grill all the way it matches the size of the snorkel.

Potentially but I worry about it blocking air above idle. Could maybe offset it out of the grille opening where it still blows air up at the air intake but isn’t in front of the actual opening.
