I need to increase the front end clearance so I can avoid destroying the belly pan attached to the front splitter when I pull into the driveway. So I am thinking about replacing the front tires with 305-35-20 Michelin Sport 4S. These tires are an 1" larger in diameter, so that should raise the front of the car about 3/8" to 1/2" higher.

Can anyone think of a reason that this could effect any of the systems, like the ABS, on the car?

It shouldn't. Instead of doing all that, maybe install sliplo pads on your splitter and pan? How close is it?

It scrapes every time I pull in the driveway. I could probably clear with an additions 1/4" to 3/8" clearance. I think the Sliplo pads would make it worse

Snoop, I don’t see an issue in any way.

I have the sliplow on my car and they work mint. I think for you they would net you 3/8” LESS clearance, but when you rub it would be the sliplows rubbing, not your car.

That said, I would hate to hear the noise every time, and I would probably go up in tire size like you are thinking.

I had the same problem with my 2013 and when I replaced the POS GY's with Michelin AS3's, I replaced the front 265-40-19 with 275-40-19 and that took care of my problem. I never installed the lower splitter on the 2013 because of the driveway entrance and it is still sitting on the shelf.

BE careful, while mine is different in the fact that i went wider and further offset. Going up from 30 to 35 (in my case 25 to 30 because of 21") the additional height, and likely additional width caused me all types of issues. I would not do again and stay with regular OD. My fender liner is all sorts of massaged, adjusted and cut to clear....and i mean BARELY clear. Luckily the fender liners are cheap and when i go thru these tires i will get new liners. My tires are 325/30/21 up front on 11.5 width wheels. Again different but going from 305-30-20 to 305-35-20 in my opinion...is going to be really close.

I added an abs skid plate to protect my sho n sto plate bracket. Made out of a 6x6x3/4" abs block. Its sort of like a super slip low and is held on by the 2 splitter bolts. It takes lots of abuse.

Earl, I ran 315/30/21 on the front of mine when I had the Signature wheels on AND I lowered the car 1/2" with the CFTP springs. The slight rubbing I had was due to the width and offset, not height. I honestly think changing your tire profile from 30 to 35 will not cause issues for you, especially with the stock springs.

Essentially you will be doing the opposite of a 1/2" lowering by spring swap by using a taller tire instead. The CFTP uses the same size front tire as the base car with no issues, and it sits roughly 1/2" lower. I think you will be fine.

I didnt read all the replies and I'm sorry if this was brought up, but when my Vette I had the same issue, and there are wheels that attach to the front fram exactly for this so the wheels take the brunt and roll up the driveway opposed to the front end.

Not sure how your driveway looks but I've seen people with low cars put Bridjit curb ramp right in front of their driveway. (can't paste the link since work PC doesn't allow for that)
