Go with BMR and you're done. Full length and great quality. And as a bonus the only way you would see them was if you were run over.I used to have the short ones and soon realized some of the limitations. Sold them and installed a full length set. I would recommend the full set for the "jack it anwhere" ability. As far as seeing them. You can only see them at eye level if you are on the ground looking at the side of the car. In other words not you can not see them.
The ones for the convertible are different than for the coupe. I don't know what's different other than they're pricer. They are on my want listsounds if these would be even more useful on a convertible or is the convertible frame reinforced better than the hardtop.
So your saying you've never seen a mustang with the pinch welds all smashed in from them buckling after repeatedly being jacked up??? Ive been around SN95s and New Edges my whole life and its always that way. My daily Mini van had one of them buckle and bend in as well.I'll add two cents on the claim of "protecting pinch welds" (since this is complete and absolute nonsense). It's probably about 1% of Mustang owners that has jacking rails, remaining 99% has no clue what that is and are having routing service done with their pinch welds being just fine. As well as literally millions of other car brand owners.
I lift my '65 using pinch welds. It's fine. If you like bolting things to your car, that's great - but do not claim they're necessary to protect anything.
Nope. I have 55 year old with pinch welds being just fine.So your saying you've never seen a mustang with the pinch welds all smashed in from them buckling after repeatedly being jacked up??? Interesting! I've just installed them for the ease of lifting the car up to change from track tires to street tires etc. and I'm curious whether I will notice a difference on the track. I thought I could tell that a bit of weight had been added but that may very well be in my own head...I have a set of BMR rails and I have noticed the vehicle does feel more firm while cornering . That being said I'm pretty sure the Steeda's will show the same results. It's just a matter of choice. There has to be an improvement as the entire framework of the vehicle is tied together and reinforced.
