Don't get the MRT struts. They failed within a year and their response was: buy new ones.šŸ˜”
Sounds like a great product and even better service.

I got the Roush kit and it works perfect. The lower brackets are a little more beefy than the FP ones and the price isn't that much more.

here's an outlier: california hood struts ENG-157-635
i love 'em.
Iā€™m another outlier - I use the one Ford supplied :giggle:

Itā€™s free, it works great, the brackets donā€™t twist, it doesnā€™t marr the paint or screw up your shut lines and it will most likely outlast the car

Iā€™m prepared for the pending onslaught of abuse ā€¦ :cwl:

Same here for same reason.

I have the roush kit, I like the redline too. If you open your hood alot at some point the FP lower bracket will begin to twist...the others have a two point attachment for the brackets.

Thanks for all the feedback. Went with the redlines. $100 bucks on Amazon. Hope they are not counterfeit!

Went with the Steeda hood struts on both my previous Mustang and current Mustang. I also got the Steeda trunk struts which will fully open the trunk upon release. Love them.
I also went with steeda hood struts and they work great, can't recommend them enough. I still have yet to bother with trunk struts. Haven't found a need for them yet, but maybe next spring.

That's odd. I had MRT struts on my 2006, 2013, and 2017 and never had any issues with them. On my 2019 though I opted for the Red Line because I liked the way they fit better.

And I have the Steeda pop the trunk struts as well. Works great.

I ordered the Redlines but found their part that should drop into the openings were just slightly too big and I wasn't in the mood to start filing those openings. I'm going with Ford Performance seeing their nut/washer will fit the opening fine. This could be sloppy work from the plant but the Redline's just wouldn't fit.
