They are just not a tire for handling/feedback/traction in the wet. I sear, LMR, has done more people dirty selling that tire with their wheels.

How much do you drive? I won't use 150 gallons of fuel in a year, so even saving 30 cents a gallon, it's not worth it for the $35-$45 I might 'save' by not using premium. If you drive significantly more, it may be worth it to you.
