  1. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

Noise isn't the problem, noise that shouldnt be there is...this isn't a well documented noise like the tick, but seems to becoming common. For me anyway, once I can confirm the actuator is working and I'm not losing any performance, it can chirp till the day it blows...I can understand people...
  2. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

I worked at a dealer for many years, I hate to tell you, the SM doesn't give a crap about you or me, just who is paying...I have a fairly reputable dealer close to me, I'll probably drop it off later this month as I have some work travel planned.
  3. 5.0 Coyote chirp / tic on start up

Just to add to this, the op and I have been talking, as my car has the same noise, same conditions. I believe I have traced it to the intake cam vtc phaser, if you unplug it while chirping, it goes away, and cones back immediately when plugged back in. With that said, if I can verify the...
  4. TSB 19-2140 - 5.0 Engine Chirping Noise

Looks like you are on to something, while no luck with the exhaust actuator, or the 2k trick, if I unplug the the intake vct actuator once the idle recovers the noise is gone, plug it in, comes right back...so it's either the actuator or the phaser from the cam advance during warm up... hope...
  5. TSB 19-2140 - 5.0 Engine Chirping Noise

If that's what it is, those are much less invasive to change, I know it will throw codes, but I will just unplug that side on the next startup to deactivate the solenoids and see if it goes away...
  6. TSB 19-2140 - 5.0 Engine Chirping Noise

Atlas1, sorry to revive an old thread, my 22 does the same thing, identical noise, 30 seconds after start, chrip from the pass side front engine. It goes away as soon as it starts to idle down, maybe 60-90 seconds. I'm assuming it's the timing chain tensioner. Being someone that has...
  7. Transmission fluid recommendation for manual?

In the event of a warranty failure, The tech would have to suspect a fluid change took place and retain a sample, then send and get analyzed. Then, they would have to give you proof the fluid caused the failure. I'd have a harder time with the short shifter than the fluid IMO. I can handle...
  8. Up-dated*** Mach 1 Dyno Sheets (no Forced Induction)

Unless you are comparing runs on the same day and dyno, it's not apples to apples anyway...dyno graphs are fun to look at...and use for tuning, while this thread will be fun, you can't take any of this as proven fact when comparing.
  9. Up-dated*** Mach 1 Dyno Sheets (no Forced Induction)

The owner stated it was all stock.
  10. Up-dated*** Mach 1 Dyno Sheets (no Forced Induction)

    Top 2 are 21s, third is a 22, all m6s.
  11. Up-dated*** Mach 1 Dyno Sheets (no Forced Induction)

Mach 1 FB group has several baseline dynos posted if you go search for them.
  12. GT500 Borla Atak + H Pipe

Watch the video on how the switchfire works, its not raspy like a traditional X, I think the H pipe sounds like a motorboat, the switchfire lands right in between. I think the tone changes even more with the actual borla exhaust(for the better vs stock mufflers- I think this gives the...
  13. Second gear hiss on a Mach 1 with Tremec?

Agreed. I had this noise in 2nd and 3rd. I was able to reduce it by giving the shifter the gt350 treatment of insulating the reverse spring, but it was still there. I was already leaning towards getting an MGW and this sealed the deal. MGW not only eliminates this noise, but gives you a...
  14. Hood struts

I have the roush kit, I like the redline too. If you open your hood alot at some point the FP lower bracket will begin to twist...the others have a two point attachment for the brackets.
  15. What did you do to your Mach 1 today

Mgw shifter install and gt500 splash guards. The MGW is a workout to install, but wow... George killed it again.
  16. Pressure Washer for "Foam Cannon"

I also use a sun joe spx3000, I've put it through hell and back, it's more of a "power washer" but it just keeps going. Got a smaller "gun" on amazon as well and a foam cannon and just swap it out if im washing the cars. Also get soap that will suds up in a foam cannon, some do not.
  17. What did you do to your Mach 1 today

Installed CM Components rear seat delete.
  18. Transmission fluid recommendation for manual?

In addition, I was having slight clutch jutter, I broke in the clutch properly was a little pissed...that is also gone with the fluid change. Seems to be a result of the thin fluid allowing some vibration that mimics a clutch jutter.
  19. Transmission fluid recommendation for manual?

It will only take 30 seconds of driving it to realize why, I heard how great the tr3160 was and was sorely disappointed compared to my c5s build t56...I was met with with clunkly shifts and a gear nibble going into 5th, all which was solved with d4...ford and any oem are going to spec the...
  20. Transmission fluid recommendation for manual?

I did endless hours of research on what the gt350 crowd uses, the only consensus is it needs a thicker fluid, and I agree...will LV work? Of course, it's the latest spec and the best for mpg/emissions, so ford specs it's. If you think tremec build the trans around LV...well I can't help you...
