I wasn't a fan of the 18 design when it came out, however looking in person and with time it has grown on me. I find the 15-17 a little bit dated now and the 18+ with some mods makes it look very aggressive. I might swap the bumper to either a Mach 1 or GT500 in the future

2015 - 2017 hands down. The design is just so much more cohesive and flowing compared to the 18+ refresh. The entire front end on the 18+ doesn't even match with the muscular contours of the rest of the body. It all looks like some poorly conceived afterthought.

The higher side body line just isn't carried over into the hood. The hood just drops off and is relatively flat and characterless.

And don't get me started on those sad fish eyed headlights. Reminds me of Fred Sandford's depressed "fish eyed" look, lol. Additionally, the housing shape is all wrong. Whereas the tip of the 15-17 headlight flowed into the fender, the 18+ just abruptly cuts off at the fender to bumper transition.

All in all, the 15-17 has a muscular, purposeful appearance that perfectly meshes American muscle with a bit of European styling whereas the 2018+ plus has a European front end tacked onto an American muscle everything else. Simply stated, the 2015 - 2017 was designed as a flowing/streamlined whole while the 2018+ was an abrupt graft job.

Same here!!! Actually, I HATED the S550 Mustangs and swore I would never own one. (I had a S197 GHIG Roush Stage 3 car at the time.)
Until I saw one in person and fell in love. My buddy bought a used '18 EcoBoost convertible and when I saw it, I fell in love instantly. I saw the interior and laughed at my S197. lol ESPECIALLY with that digital dash.
No comparison!

Dated? Lol ok. If you think the 18+ looks is very aggressive, the why consider a GT500 or Mach 1 front? 15-17 front flows with the rest of the car, the 18+ / GT500 does not.

It's the part of the front 18+ that looks like something grandma wants to pinch that always looked weird to me, but it's 100% fixed in Mach 1 front end.
They didn't want to lose the European market, so the change had to be made quickly I would think.

I traded the 15 yesterday. Im already loving the ruby red over the black. But as far as design goes. I'll call it a tie. It not like going from a 14 to a 15. Is just subtle tweaks between the two.

I ordered my 2017 car a couple weeks after the official 2018 model pics came out. I didn't want to risk my build getting pushed off to an 18 model because I didn't like the squished looking front end.

That being said in person it looks alot better, especially white IMO. But I still prefer the 15-17. Can't deny the 18+ make more power and have a better auto though.
