FL 2087 update (interesting information)

Thinking of starting a new thread “Show me your FL-2087”. My car has been screaming at me to change oil (Less than 5 percent oil life left) and I was about to go to extreme measures via eBay. Thought I’d just on a whim call the dealer to see if they had one and sure enough they did. Guess that’s the advantage of being in a smaller town in Arizona with no Shelby’s to be seen. Think the only two are me and another HEP R. Both with the modified painted Peter Brock stripes. I went ahead and ordered two more. Next one is his. Then the third is the reward for whichever one of us drives our car more and needs the oil change soonest.

For those not wanting to go the eBay route, KR3Z 6A842 A , Does infact come with a FL-2087 Filter. This eliminates people trying to jack people for $125 a filter.

I called them and yes, they do have them, but they will not ship them. You have to pick them up at the store...

Looks like there is no FL-2087 shortage in the Great White North. Just picked up two at Dixie Ford in Mississauga. They had 20 in stock. $61 Canuckistan Pesos + 13% sales tax

Paid $59 plus shipping I believe. Way better than $100 plus from eBay.

Ah I see. Yeah the guy wasn't 100% sure if they could ship when I asked. I just happened to be visiting family in the area so I picked up the two I will need for this track season.

They were on back order similar to the filter too. FWIW, parts.Ford shows filter in stock as well.

Yeah when I bought my spare canister a few months ago it was one of the only ones available in the country apparently. At least according to the guy who checked the inventory. Good thing I managed to snag it because the nut is starting to look pretty ragged on my factory one.
