You have no idea how many complaints dealers get about brake dust from people who don't understand what brake dust is. People think brake dust means that their cars are broken, and people have tried to get cars returned under lemon laws for brake dust.

The Brembos produce a larger-than-usual amount of brake dust. Ford didn't want to have to deal with the headache of having thousands of people try to claim their cars were defective because of brake dust. The easiest answer? Give it wheels that don't show brake dust. The end.
They should've opted for gunmetal to cover it up. ;)

Flat gun metal.

The only thing I can think of might be the grill still can't find definitively which lower grill comes with the base car and PP. If it doesn't have the lower fangs I'll be ordering it from parts before I leave with the car. The rear valance is kind of the same issue but not as important to me. Seems even though those are totally visual it would be a shame not to have on the PP cars.

Wish Ford would offer a badge delete option.

I wouldn't mind having small lettering or some diagonal strips on the front quarter panels to set it apart...I would much rather have an extra 15 hp.

This I would take in an instant. No GT badge, no 5.0 badge, nothing. I'd pay extra to keep it off my car.

I'd much rather have the Mustang on the back than a blue oval... I'll give Ford props for that one. However, I'd still like to know if the badge on the back is molded in to the black panel or if it's stuck on like most badges are. Removing the badges would be nice if I decide to get the back panel painted. Not a huge fan of the gloss black.

Man tnat new GT badge just rocks though. I mean I got so used to that fake gas cap medallion thing so this is just so new and awesome. Its so much bigger and bolder and just says GT with no surround. That says a lot about how well a cars reputation is known when it has no make badging like FORD no model badging like Mustang but just says GT. And this new one says GT in style.

I'm with the original poster here. I don't understand the spoiler delete being mandatory - I agree with the OP that there should be a unique spoiler for the PP, but if someone wants the spoiler delete option, that should be allowed too.

Look at the 1LE Camaro - essentially that's the PP Mustang. You can spot the 1LE from an airplane at 30,000 feet with that unique hood.

I may be in the minority, but if I'm spending $10K over the price of a V6/EB, I want it to be somewhat distinctive. The connoisseurs are always going to be able to spot the differences between the models, but IMO, it should be obvious to even "casual" sports car fans. A Boss has so many visual cues even Ford car salesman could identify them. ;-)
Don't you think that the pp wheels make it stand out already? Let's not forget the staggered wheel size f/r too.... that alone being available with the pp is pretty distinct in my view

The LE gets the stagger too, but I agree with your viewpoint.

To get to the heart of the matter regarding OPs point. The PP is just a package. The car is a GT and is labeled very well as a GT. On the back, with the 5.0 on the sides. PP isn't something you badge on a muscle car but the motor is. And its more important.

X 2. The performance pack has all the right parts for me. Although it would have been nice to get alcantara interior pieces. Ie steering wheel.

I agree about the spoiler. I would of liked them to of had a larger spoiler in the package, with the option of course to delete it if you so desired. But that's pretty much it. I like PP the way it is.

I think a different diffuser and color matched fangs in the grill would have been cool .... probably my first mod will be making those fangs stand out
