thanks for the comment norm. yes every tire i have killed has been on the front of the gti.. fwd is not as much fun as rwd..
good news for me is my rx8 is back with a killer motor and ready to track..
as to the topic at hand. the pss will do just fine on track if camber and pressure...
wow,
norm that photo is awesome! if your are on track at an above advanced level with a pss camber is life or death.
i have killed 4 pss on the front of my gti.. thank god, the rx8 is back!

i have driven 3 out of the 4 tires here on track.. and as you said they are ultra performance tires.
they all are great for track use, and i mean track.. i dont autox.
but, i gave the mich ss a shot this time. they fall into the max performance group.. i dont time my laps, but...
damn,
who knew. i always go to the friday race.. then go home and hate it for all the people in the rain and cold for sat and sunday..
well. it seemed to be a good weekend if you were not in a tent friday night.. :)
a bit cool, but not cold for a change..
maybe next year...
dude,
you know the new 1/4 mile is now 1000 ft. ? right!
i am pissed that i now have to take day off work on thur before sebring to go down and wait with my phone for a shot of the new car that is going to be likely sandbagging. sad but true. i really wish motorsports were still...
from the look of your avatar you are used to a very short wheelbase car.. the mustang is not that, and you sit a fair bit away from the front axle. so it seems slower.
there is not really a simple solution to your issue, other than a long test drive before your purchase.

the question is are you really getting top performance on the street, and if so what % are you getting. :)
if it is a 50 cent bump to get premium that is ~7.50 a tank.. how many times in a tankful did you floor it with something to compare it to to make a difference?

please dont think i am being a dick. but could you do the same thing you have done in the video. but once while the car is moving backwards push in the clutch and let it coast back. then do the same again but after you put in the clutch put it in neutral and let the clutch out and let it...
ok,
sure, i had the only car in 89 with traction and stability control. want to guess what it was?
bet you cant.. btw, yes if you have a manual. hint the 89 had one. sure if you were going down a mountain with maybe a 20% grade you will pick up speed. damn if you turn the motor off...
wooooooo hooooooo!
nice photo, congrats dixion and chip an the rest of the gang..
now, how did you get on the party platform? ;) if i had know i might have stayed!
beers
would not change the accuracy. it would still show the speed of the analog gauge..
and i am a fan of digital speedos, if they can keep up with car conditions..

funny,
i have a 12 gti with the dsg.. 30k miles, 3 oil changes 1 bulb replacement..
also have a rx8 that i use as a track car. it has all the handling of the mustang maybe more, but is 400 lbs lighter, but also down about 100 ft lbs of tq..
i have been wanting to just have one...
not sure what anyone wants.
but the stock car with a better set of shocks is more than most can handle..
pp = brakes, springs, sways, gear, cooling..
on the street you need, better car control / none of the above..
