Don't you think that the pp wheels make it stand out already? Let's not forget the staggered wheel size f/r too.... that alone being available with the pp is pretty distinct in my view
Considering the large number of owners who will be getting some sort of aftermarket wheels, I would disagree and say that having the PP wheels being the only obvious external clue is not a clue at all after the first six months of production hits the street.

I guess they can get aftermarket stripes, spoilers, and underglow neon lights if that's what they want.

You have no idea how many complaints dealers get about brake dust from people who don't understand what brake dust is. People think brake dust means that their cars are broken, and people have tried to get cars returned under lemon laws for brake dust.

The Brembos produce a larger-than-usual amount of brake dust. Ford didn't want to have to deal with the headache of having thousands of people try to claim their cars were defective because of brake dust. The easiest answer? Give it wheels that don't show brake dust. The end.

I don't want a hood scoops, stripes, or anything visual to make my car obviously show it's a PP. I'm not buying the Performance/Track package to look cool but to go fast around a racetrack. There are parts in the package that would be too expensive to add later so I feel it is a good value. The exhaust will guaranteed see and upgrade by me that will be far more aggressive than anything Ford would ever put on the car so that an stay stock for all I care.

Just wondering what some of you think about the choice of components that make up the Performance Package?

The two things that disappoints me about the PP are the lack of standout visual pieces to say
"This is something special above and beyond the normal Mustang"
and..............
The fact that the PP does not get a more aggressive exhaust.

Rather than a spoiler delete, I would prefer to see a PP exclusive rear spoiler. Additionally, it feels to me that it would be correct for the PP to have some sort of ram air hood scoop. Along with the additions, some sort of different paint scheme would be nice to highlight the PP. perhaps nothing more than a pair of stripes.

For a performance Package I feel that a great sounding exhaust sound goes hand in hand with better performance and some sort of unique look. It also might free up 5-10 HP.

This stuff can (and probably will) be added by most owners to get the look they want but I feel Ford missed the mark by looking at the Performance Package as being strictly about 1/4 mile and road race track numbers without addressing the asthetics.

What do you think?
Fat sticky tires that are not staggered and barely stay under the fenders. Camaro 1LE got that right. But the same black wheels because I'll be driving mine, not washing it.

I for one am glad the performance features are undercover. I know what the car is about and capable of.

I don't need to have anyone making assumptions about the car by what kind of hood scoop or spoiler that I has.

Can you say poser? 25 years ago maybe I would have thought it was cool.

Today...I want my Mustang to be a sleeper in as much as that is possible.
True mustang enthusiasts will know that its a 5.0L with PP, just from the exhaust and wheels.

I plan on de-badging mine, GT and 5.0 removed. easier to wipe down that way. Add the Whipple S/C and the posers won't know one will what hit em!

I love the performance of the Shelby, hate the rear spoiler and Strips. TACKY! IMO!

Ingot Silver, Manual, PP, Ebony Interior, light tint, Gun Metal powder coated stock PP wheels. Tastefully done, subtle, Fast and Handles.

Yes. The fact that it's not offered with an Automatic.

I was surprised that it wasn't available with the automatic transmission. Then I was disappointed.

It does come with Brake Ducts, well somewhat. From the Dealer Guide: "Brake cooling via under-car diverter".

Why would having it with a slush box be better? Seriously, just curious...

This will be my first manual car..I know I am not that great at driving a manual but I know driving such an awesome vehicle deserves a manual... The dealer let me test drive a 2014 GT manual and it was just insanely fun. Banging gears is awesome and I can't wait to have mine and I am actually really excited about the fact that the PP is for manuals only...as I said, just curious is all...

With no added HP, I don't see the PP really helping traditionalist drag racers in a straight line, so only giving it to manual cars is no help in a drag race... Real races have corners!!!

I think it should have a different exhaust that's louder than the stock one and add 5HP if possible. just my 2cents... I'm still getting it regardless it just be nice if it made more changes to the car. The louder exhaust would mean I would be happy with the sound longer. I'll end up changing the exhaust eventually, but it would be sooner since it's the same exhaust as stock.

Amen. The PP is an incredible deal and I am glad they avoided going the route of vents/gills/scoops etc - even functional ones (eg - I like how they divert undercarriage air to cool the brakes). This makes the C7 corvette look too busy IMHO . The spoiler dealer was a smart classy move. I may upgrade the exhaust anyway and am glad am not forced to pay for a Ford selected one as part of the PP. I do love the wheels and staggered lowered look though, and the 6 pistons speak for themselves.
