Are you referring to a Deatschwerks or Aeromotove style regulator for the radium bucket? I don’t know if either would fit, as they’re pretty big, especially with the lines connected. I would also think a flexible line would be preferred over the factory line, which IMO is very cheaply made.
The Radium bucket has a built in regulator with vacuum reference if running return-less. It basically just returns the unused fuel inside the fuel tank rather than through a return line. Not the same as a full return system, it’s much more like the OEM return-less system, but fuel pressure is adjustable and can be boost referenced.

With the Radium bucket outfitted with the regulator on top, it basically is a "return style" system. The excess fuel just never leaves the fuel tank. As far as tuning goes, your tuner would tune it as a return style set-up.

Not to be contrarian, but I believe it’s much more similar to the OEM return-less setup than a return setup when it comes to tuning. One of the advantages of a true return system is that there is basically always excess fuel at the fuel rails and if it’s unused it goes back to the tank. The Radium bucket with built in regulator does not send the excess fuel to the rails, it just dumps it back into the tank before it ever leaves.

I‘m no tuner, I’m just an idiot with a laptop, but I’d tune it like a return-less fuel system rather than a return system. Though I wouldn’t tune a return fuel system like the mainstream tuners do, so maybe that is more telling than anything.

I defer to you, Mitch. That being said, I have known a few people with the Arcane set-up and the tuner tunes the car as if it has a return, or so I am told.

Being with what's already available in the logic of the gen 3 there would be no reason to tune it like a conventional return style system wheather it is or not. Yes you'll disable some monitors but that's about it.

THIS! There is absolutely zero advantage to preventing the logic from compensating for fuel pressure fluctuations, return line or not.

Which is why I’ve always thought that even though Lund and some other tuners “require” a return system for FI on E85, as long as they have the injector data correct, and your pump keeps up, I don’t think they would know what type of system you have.

I think the major wild card here is injector offset multiplier based on pressure. It's my understanding many of the tuners set this to 1.0 across the board with a return system, which effectively elimintaes the ability for the system to compensate based on actual fuel pressure, at least for gen 3.

So if you aren't running their specificed pressure, the injectors will not be flowing the correct amount of fuel. We also don't really know what they do to all the desired pressure parameters (maybe some people who have cracked their tune files do...).

Damn, really want to switch to e85 with a dw400 and bap but sounds like if I lie to Lund my set up will get screwed up....

Maybe try asking Lund if you can sign a waiver holding them harmless if they tune your car on E85 with the DW400 and BAP on a returnless systm.

I wonder if the radium bucket with built in regulator and base pressure set to whatever they say would work? That way their base pressure requirements are met and it looks like a return system is in place without running a return line. 🤷‍♂️

Changing my set up this winter. 3.8 Whipple on 20 psi boost. I have the Arcane 274 x2 return system now with FIC 1000s. Wondering if the Arcane dual set up will handle 20 pound of boost on a gen 3? will be using FIC1650 injectors. Should be over 1K Wheel.

I emailed those diagrams to Carl at VaporWorx on Thursday. He said he‘d Look into them and let me know what he comes up with. I’ll report back here with his response once he replies back to me.
Did you hear anything back from Vaporworx?

Not yet. I’ll reach back out over the weekend and see if Carlos over there has any new info for me. I do think I’m gonna buy the return system with the stand alone MAP sensor though.

I have the radium setup with 2 274s as well, I think it will struggle at over 1000 rwhp on e85 with a blower especially in cooler temps. The larger injectors will definitely help though.
