See if they'll take a couple shots of the uprights before mounting them, more specifically the underside of the base of the upright.

Yea all the parts are still boxed up until after paint and getting ready for the install so I’ll try to get more photos then

I had the same thought, Tom and I can't imagine that the design wasn't patented by someone. Much too lucrative a product not to legally protect it.
An airfoil patent would be silly and never granted. That would be like patenting the concept of a shoe.

You'd think an airfoil drain patent might be silly and never granted either. Yet there it is and covers the CFTP wing.

Funny you bring up the drains, Tob, I've been wondering about them for a good while. I remember Tom saying that he heard water sloshing around when he pulled his wing but I had none in mine.

Granted, when I blow dry the car, I use the MaxBlaster to blow into both drains but never see or hear water exiting anywhere.

Does the FFP wing have said drains? That thing would hold a bucket load of water if not, the way it's shaped.

Bonus downforce when filled with water.

I think about the only thing they could do is to duct it through the end plate unless they want to tiptoe into patent infringement...

I asked Charles about it and he told me they had drain holes as well but I have yet to confirm it. @socal2fast should be able to look at his and tell us

I'd ask if they are through holes or just a hole into the airfoil cavity from underneath.

Is there any way to know for sure if the FFP wing has a foam core?

I'm assuming that no one has gotten an MPR Wing either.

If you have a FFP wing, or getting one fairly soon, it does not have a foam core. They have some being manufactured with the core and those are ~5 months out.

It is my understanding that MPR is just dealing for AC. Those are several months from availability also. Manny is running a waiting list.

The FFP ones were supposed to have foam cores but the Chinese manufacturer forgot to fill it. So the current batch being sent out does not (as stated above). The following shipments should have foam in them.

I have the FFP CFTP wing installed on my car. I do not see any drain holes. I will take some pics tomorrow and pour a bottle of water on it to confirm.

I think we’re as much, if not more, interested in pics (and your input) on the quality and finish as we are the dang drain holes, LOL!
