I don't believe Ceratec has moly... It has a ceramic additive, boron nitride. It contains MoS2, the abbreviation for molybdenum sulfide: this is a graphite-like substance that acts as a solid lubricant.
It does exactly what an oil with a good additive package should do. It lubricates internal components. Just my .02.
Sir, you are right. My mistake.I don't believe Ceratec has moly... It has a ceramic additive, boron nitride.
I've tried a bottle of that ^^^ for a full oil change. I liked its results. Trying Ceratec now.
I think it looks just like French dressing, lol.I use it in my FX35. Definitely made the engine quieter. I just was apprehensive of pouring something that looked like thin-set concrete into my engine lol.
Those who did used iil analysis said it contained extra mos2 in some form as well. So likely ceratec has it in some form. Unfortunately, did not save links.
I am not oil additive guy. Bbq tick forced me to try it. Besides taking care of the tick it quiets the engine very noticeably. I did not notice any mpg improvement, but I'm having it for just several hundreds of miles, it mighf need more time.OK, I have a question for the people who have used Ceratec.
What exactly did it do to your car? Like it or so-so? Would you do it again?
Thanks!
I'd say closer to thousand islands lolI think it looks just like French dressing, lol.
After a while I can't notice the color of it in the oil anymore. Just looks like used oil.I am not oil additive guy. Bbq tick forced me to try it. I'd appreciate if it looked better though. If not transparent, then may be grayish or blackish.
It makes oil look weird. I wonder how used oil looks like after thousands of miles.
What were you looking at? Cause dip stick looks normal. Its when you drain it it it looks weird.I'd say closer to thousand islands lol
