  1. My cat died from a heart attack tonight

I'm sorry for your loss :( it's terrible and i know exactly how you feel :(. Nothing crushes me like when a pet passes away, especially when it's before their time and when they're like your shadow. I know it's hard now but try and think of the good memories and all the selfless love your...
  2. First disaster - snapped hood bolt

Everything has a tq value whether its a tiny screw or a giant bolt and everything in between. Torquing all fasteners is proper practice and there's nothing wrong with that. Using a 3/8" or 1/2" drive tq wrench that's in ft/lbs will tend to snap bolts less than 10 ft/lbs on occasion. I don't...
  3. E85 drums in Canada / Ontario

Any of you fellow Canadians running e85? We have no E85 at the pumps in Ontario, not too sure about the other provinces either. If your running E85 and purchase it by the drum, who / what company see you getting it from? What's the cost per drum? Thanks!
  4. Your thoughts on IRS

Don't get offended but you type like a teenage girl.
  5. BMR Tech Tip: Clock those bushings after lowering your S550!

Looks like your gonna need quite a bit of camber possibly more than the plates can provide to tuck the tires. They stick out quite a bit. Looks like 1/2-1". What width rims + backspacing are you running?
  6. Who parks like this???

He's a new employee? Just ask him why he parks like that vs driving yourself crazy wondering why. Maybe he has a logical reason for it or maybe not.
  7. First disaster - snapped hood bolt

So I was bang on with the 10-12 ft/lbs. Good way to start the day lol.
  8. First disaster - snapped hood bolt

That seems a little bit too loose. The studs look like 8mm studs. 6mm studs on my dirtbike are 7-8ft lbs so that's where I came up with the 10-12 ft/lbs. I doubt hand tight is enough to stop the hood / trunk from slipping due to the leverage it puts on those mounting points.
  9. First disaster - snapped hood bolt

10-12 ft/lbs should be more than enough for those small studs. 20 seems a bit excessive.
  10. What is wrong with people....why would you do this to this car!!

Get rid of the GT500 logos, the fake side scoops and 1/4 window louvers and that fugly round emblem on the rear deck. Also put on some black 5.0 emblems and it goes from terrible to not bad at all. Easy fix.
  11. Extreme Heat in Seattle - Global Warming or an Unusual Collection of Ingredients?

This is done to an extent by cloud seeding. China does this already to make it rain in Arid areas or prevent rain from happening in others for special events. They used this technique for the 2008 Olympics and have been using it for decades.
  12. How safe are these cars against catalytic converter theft?

No it's completely legal in Canada. It has been for a few years now. Even when it was illegal it was treated lightly. Nothing compared to the draconian federal laws the US citizens have to deal with.
  13. How safe are these cars against catalytic converter theft?

Caught stealing cats = slap on the wrist. Caught with a joint = years in jail (in non legal states / federal) Makes sense said no one everrr.
  14. Hood Corrosion Nightmare

Can you point out to me where it's different between the two? Otherwise good guess lol. 50/50 chance.
  15. Hood Corrosion Nightmare

What would lead you to believe it's the trunk and not the quarter?
  16. Hood Corrosion Nightmare

I am calm lol. What brand of PPF did you have installed?
  17. Hood Corrosion Nightmare

No it won't. Where the hell does some of this info come from? PPF is clear as a window to look through it. It has no tint. Aside from the line when looking directly over head there's zero color difference. Here's a pic looking from the front. Can't see the line and the whole area of color...
  18. Hood Corrosion Nightmare

They can't match race red? Wtf is it amateur hour over at that dealerahip. It's one of the easiest colors to match. It's solid red with no metallic in it. I'd hate to see them with a tri-coat or one of the colors with alot of metallic flake in it if they can't handle race red. They should be...
  19. How safe are these cars against catalytic converter theft?

No cat is safe from a crackhead with a battery powered grinder lol. They'll get it out if they target your car. Chances are they won't however due to the ground clearance of the mustang. Crackheads travel light, they won't have a jack most likely so will go for the low hanging fruit. Higher...
  20. Your thoughts on IRS

Handling like a bag of hammers.
