OK, I have a question for the people who have used Ceratec.

What exactly did it do to your car? Like it or so-so? Would you do it again?

Thanks!

Ceratec got rid of the tick and generally made the engines quieter over all. I have 6000mi on current fill. I plan on changing oil around 8k and already have a second bottle if needed.

What does it actually do to get rid of the tick- provide extra lubrication? Does using it void the warranty? Do you need to add it with every oil change?

It contains MoS2, the abbreviation for molybdenum sulfide: this is a graphite-like substance that acts as a solid lubricant.

It does exactly what an oil with a good additive package should do. It lubricates internal components. Just my .02.

I don't believe Ceratec has moly... It has a ceramic additive, boron nitride.

Sir, you are right. My mistake.

The Oil Additive product they produce has moly
I've tried a bottle of that ^^^ for a full oil change. I liked its results. Trying Ceratec now.

It definitely quiets things down. I swear even my exhaust has gotten quieter in the lower rpm range.

I use it in my FX35. Definitely made the engine quieter. I just was apprehensive of pouring something that looked like thin-set concrete into my engine lol.

I am not oil additive guy. Bbq tick forced me to try it. Besides taking care of the tick it quiets the engine very noticeably. I did not notice any mpg improvement, but I'm having it for just several hundreds of miles, it mighf need more time.

I'd appreciate if it looked better though. If not transparent, then may be grayish or blackish.

It makes oil look weird. I wonder how used oil looks like after thousands of miles.

After a while I can't notice the color of it in the oil anymore. Just looks like used oil.
