I think it looks just like French dressing.
Actually, it doesn't taste half bad. And my stomach doesn't growl nearly as loudly as before using Ceratec. :like:

I have heard that you can use Cera Tec every oil change even though its supposedly good for 30,000 miles. But anyone doing that might want to confirm.

Perhaps it doesn't really last 30,000 miles as Liqui Moly claims. At least that is what I gather from the user reviews I've seen. All conjecture on my part of course.

I have had Cera Tec with 10 qts of PUP Ultra 5W-20 for approx. 4500 miles. When I change oil, I will not add Cera Tec and stick with PUP and see how it holds up. Will update.

My ceratec has lasted 1200 miles after an oil change so far (tapping still gone with no ceratec in this oil), I did go to a diff brand and weight oil though. I could switch back to the same oil I added the ceratec to next time though and I am pretty sure the ceratec will still be working. Ill probably add more ceratec though after confirming that.

What is the oil you use now? Who knows, maybe it's the oil itself. So far PUP was mostly prized. But it did not work for me.

Personally I used TriboTex. Have an 18GT that had the intermittent tick that would go away once up to operating temp that started around 600 or so miles. Put TriboTex in at about 1000 miles or so and the engine is quiet as a mouse now. Seriously even the regular engine noises are significantly quiter. I liked the idea of TriboTex cause it’s supposed to last like 40k miles and doesn’t change the color of the oil like Ceratec.

Ok i have a stupid but serious question. Bout 250 miles ago i did my own oil change and added ceratec. When i added the ceratec i forgot to shake it up and it was very seperated when i poured it in. Would it still work as well when seperated? Should i buy another bottle and add about half of it? Is it safe to add another? Thanks

Use two bottles along with 10 Qts of oil.

Engine is QUIET now, like scary quiet compared to how it sounded before.

I guess only time will tell now, but I’m a believer at the moment.

I use it in my wife's BMW to help prevent wear on the timing belt guides.

I just squeeze a tube full of Slick50 brand hemorrhoid cream into the engine at every oil change, and viola, no tick!

What does it actually do to get rid of the tick- provide extra lubrication? Does using it void the warranty? Do you need to add it with every oil change?

Put it in, tick seemed to go away completely. 5k miles later had the oil changed at dealer as usual, tick came back. I did not add another bottle. Seems to work just don't want to have to add a bottle every change. I have been beating the ever living shit out of it regardless. After about 1500 miles the tick seems to subside for the most part regardless of the additive.
