Lots of selection with 275/40's and 285/35's with similar pricing. The 295/35's and 305/35's have less selection and are quite a bit more pricy. The 285/35's are a good bit shorter than the 275/40's though so you will see more fender gap.
I am currently running a square set of 285/35's on...
No regrets here...I Love my vert! That V8 engine & sound, along with a 6sp manual, makes a magical combo for a convertible. I live in Alabama so yea, smoking hot humid summers but nice at night usually. Fall is an amazing time to have a vert in Alabama. Lots of dry, sunny warm days from mid...
At least we have an option if it comes to that, but... My 18 premium, PP1, 6sp vert checks all the boxes for me to keep. Got the looks, performance, handsome dash and it is paid off. Especially so that my car was at least $20k cheaper that a new comparable 24.
I have seen the factory alignment specs and the PP1 has slightly more negative camber than a non-PP car, but not by much. Either way, none of the factory specs would be considered aggressive.
I have an 18 PP1 vert with stock suspension, 19x10's all around with 285/35's, and aligned to -1.4 camber in front and -1.2 in the rear. No strange wear and handles great.
Mine would get the tick at cold startup and after the car has been driven for a while, shut down for 30-45min, then restarted. The hot re-start made the most noise btw. Got the tick on the OEM fill from the factory at around 3500mi. Tried Mobile 1 and Castrol Edge 5w-30 with basically same...
Well, recently payed off my 18 GT PP1, 6sp vert so the s650 would have to be extra special to pry the s550 from my possession...After getting a good look at it and options, sadly it is not.
First, price is up close to 50% over what I paid for my car in 18. Secondly, that ipad wanna be dash is...

My 97 YZF1000...Fantastic bike that could do everything...tour, drag race, road course, etc. Sold a few years back as drivers today are getting dumber by the day on their smart phones and just had too many close calls.
New Michelin 285/35-19 4S on the left and a Conti Extreme 275/40-19 on the right with maybe 15k miles. Both perform great. Conti’s are cheaper but Michelin’s last longer.
