How much $$?????
By rights, 50K over the non-TT version. So that makes it solidly under 200? I mean it still is the same $60,000 ecoboost, er base C8 with all the same panel gaps, orange peel, and so forth. :)

Found my top 3 specs. All 3 have the CF aero package and CF wheels. Time to go plant the money tree. And somehow fit better in the C8…

That hysteria purple is wild
It didn’t come through well in the screenshot but you can see the purple better in the site. Still not great though. But it looks to be a really cool color. Dare I say better than MP on the S550?? :bandit:

“80 - 200 - 80 in roughly 25 seconds. Trap speed 150s in quarter mile. Well under 10 seconds. EV type acceleration. Production starts 2025. Slow ramp up production”, quoted from Chief engineer.

Realistically, the first people with the car probably won’t get them until the end of 2025.

From the sounds of it they will build as many as they can sell. The price will determine how many are sold. It will definitely attract people that buy real super cars. Whatever the MSRP, it will be hard to get at that point at first, but it will probably eventually be had at MSRP.

Realistically, we are about 2 - 3 years from that point.

Base price of $150k is steal!!! Optioned up with all the CF and go fast goodies probably $200-225k is amazing for that level of performance. Might as well skip the Z06 and go right to the ZR1.

Cool car for sure. Faster? I mean than what? At a certain point, why not just have infinity HP? Owners can't drive them to their full potential, and it seems like everyone I meet with these "track monsters" (Which this isn't, it's heavy, and is how I feel about the GT500 too) can't drive them for shit, they only drag race turn to turn.

And let's not forget, much like the GT500 CFTPs, these are primarily dream cars for the owners, a once in a lifetime spend. These cars will see no more than C&C once a month, and absolutely not be found at the track, with rare exception. So basically this thing will never see more than 9 miles an hour in a downtown city center. Because it will be used much like a Lambo or Ferrari is used.

This car is a statement. Look what we can do. For GM, for the buyer. And it is incredibly bad ass that GM built it, and that kids everywhere will get a poster of one, stick it up on their wall, and dream of the day when they are grown up and can buy one. And I think that is my favorite part about this car.

Hell, I’m in my 40’s and I’ll probably buy a poster and hang it on my wall. Maybe when I’m a grown up I can buy one too 🤣

Will be curious how close they are with their pricing estimate. If it really starts around $180k, as others have said, that is the steal of the century. ADM will surely be on tap, but still an incredible MSRP for what you’re getting.

If ford wasn't up to their eyeballs in warranties and recalls they could build an EB Coyote in the GT chassis to compete...

They teased the next S650 variant at the 60th, let’s see what they come up with. I’d be shocked if it’s near the specs of the ZR1 but maybe they come up with a Z06 fighter. I’d be good with that considering Mustang and Corvette aren’t (or at least weren’t) true competitors. Last American V8’s standing probably changes that but they’re 2 totally different cars and always have been.

Sorry, I was talking about the Ford GT chassis not the Mustang GT :)

You're right, the Mustang and Corvette aren't competitors but I would say the GTD is.
