Honestly , at the new price , unless you are in a hurry better to have a long block built less(reusing your heads ) or the same with new heads .
if the bare block has also not jumped in price($800) , and you can reuse your heads , you could have an “alluminator“ long built with the drop in Mahle pistons($800) , H -tuff rods($1000) , main studs($250) , billet OPG /CS ($300), head studs($350) , better head gaskets($200) and PAC springs($500) .
Assuming $300 for bearings ,$300 balancing , $300 for machining for main studs and $1200 if you are paying to have it assembled .
About $6300.
