I lived all over that area in years past: Incline Village, Reno, and even spent some time in Yerington flying for a small corporation that had relocated from Bend, OR.
I like the Carson Valley and the Walker River areas. I imagine civilization is probably 10 times the size it was back in the...
Arroyo Grande is about 90 miles north of Santa Barbara, about 10 miles south of San Luis Obispo. The world's best weather!
Yeah, no sightseeing is my problem on 1, as well...
Slim, indeed.
I'm talking to Fourtane in Carmel. When it comes in, the wife and I will get in the Bullitt and have a nice drive up Hwy 1 if it's open; we're on the central coast about halfway between L.A. and S.F.
Life is good.
All of the Rolexes in my photo are new (except for the wife's), gray market purchased from Capetown Diamond in Roswell, GA. I paid slightly above AD price for both the Explorer II and the black Air King. The Explorer II has shot up like SpaceX, not much with the Air King. Doesn't matter since...
Damnit, I KNOW these things are extravagances but they're just so... amazing in their design and construction. And they're appreciating like crazy right now (especially the Rolexes). I know that will likely stop someday but, right now, it's just fun to be a part of.
It's the 310.30.42.50.01.002.
I could have bought it a month ago (I called and they had 2...) but I couldn't do it right then so now's there's a waiting list (somewhere between 4 and 8 weeks the guy said...)
The Tudor? Who knows? The AD had no idea.
The only other Omega I ever had was a Flightmaster back in the late 70's. That thing was gigantic! I took it off to go in the pool of the apartment where I lived back then and forgot it, never to be seen again.
But there truly is something about the heft of the Omega that's comforting in a way...
I don't know if we're still talking about watches here but...
We've been very blessed. The business grew tremendously last year and I finally started collecting the watches I wanted. I took this shot of my winder this morning. The diamond bezel Air King is my wife's.
On deck are the new Speedy...
Hahahaha! Sorry for the (really) late reply, I quit following this thread a while back.
No touch too painstaking to apply to the ole Bullitt, I always say...
Well, we moved to a new home and, as a result of our extensive remodeling projects, the garage is still not empty enough to put the Bullitt in so it sits in the driveway.
It's a daily driver... again; even if it never leaves it's spot.
I’ve been off the board for a while and just now saw this thread.
I’m also a cancer survivor (although not severe or aggressive) so, from one to another, may the peace of Christ be with you always.
You will be in our prayers daily.
2 visits ago to the dealer that sold me my car, it came back to me with my seat setting totally jacked up AND memorized.
It takes a special kind of a-hole to do that.
