Interesting, yea it looks like there isnt any in there as far as I can see. Do you drive your car hard at all? I do.=
I've taken my car to the drag strip 2x this year, made about 12 passes, also ran a 1/2 mile event in August and made 14 1/2 mile passes down the runway. I've changed my oil since then and before my new UPR Catch Can but I have made lots of "passes" on back roads since adding the new Can.

I just did a little research on another forum, and found this. I would think it also applies to the new 5.0L with plasma arc cylinders and 12:1 compression.

This is apparently normal?

I'm going to ask my mechanic at Ford to scope the cylinders while I wait for a new clutch. If they're good, then I'm switching straight to 5w30 and running Ceratec to prevent possible future scoring.

Just went to check on my GT and talk to the mechanic who was going to be working on my car. He was out on a test drive so I didnt get to talk to him but I found a 2018 GT there that was torn down.. Looks like some marks on cylinder walls for 1 cylinder with 1 piston removed.. sorry for how short the video is but IDK if I was even supposed to be in there :

You should have thrown on a blue Ford smock and started to check some clearances, and if anyone asked you could have said you were an engineer lol.

Just traded my 16 base GT in for a 19 GT Premium PP1 few days ago. Never heard about the tick until today. Would it benefit me to do the first oil change at a 1000-3000 miles or should i wait until 5000? What brand of 5W-30 oil do you recommend?

Is this tick a big problem with most 18-19 mustangs or is the internet just freaking out over a few bad apples.
