I have a few questions about an exhaust upgrade.
Once upgraded;
will quiet mode still be quiet enough?
would it still pass emissions?
How easy would it be to put the resonator back on?

I don’t have active exhaust. I have the Steeda H-Pipe it was a very nice deep sound with the stock mufflers! If I remember correctly the resonator has clamps. I don’t know about emissions we don’t have to deal with that where I live.

yes, quiet mode is still quiet. Resonator can go right back on, when using steeda h or x anyways, not sure on others. As for emissions, should not effect that at all since you are not removing the converters. I have the X pipe, steeda makes em specific for 18-19 so you dont have to cut into the heat shields as well

I've got a '19 with the AE, and a Steeda H-pipe sitting here (for a week, got to this installed soon !) It's my understanding it amps up the sound at the various settings, but quiet is still very quiet, normal a bit louder like between stock Normal and Sport, sport gets pretty loud, almost like track and Track is a ticket waiting to happen

Zero emission effect, it's "behind" the cats, sensors, etc.

the h will deepen the tone a little, the x will add a little more rasp, both will increase in volume. really comes down to the tone your looking for, you have to decide up front what sound / tone you want in a system so you aren't spending a bunch of $$ swapping systems out hit me up with any questions

I have Active Exhaust with a Steeda H pipe. Quiet mode is still VERY civilized. When I start the car in normal mode and then switch to "quiet," there is a dramatic difference. When just cruising, I don't think any of the modes are ticket worthy. The differences are really noticeable when accelerating, though. There is ZERO drone or rasp with the Steeda H pipe.....just a deeper and more aggressive tone under throttle.

Heartthrob H-pipe looks like a 4-5 decibel increase when revving in quiet mode. They didn’t show start up decibel difference.

Thanks for the input guys. Do you have to cut anything with the Steeda H pipe?

Just two cuts behind the resonator in line with the new h pipe, and reclamp the front and the two that come with the h pipe. The nice thing about the Steeda, is that you don’t have to worry about the factory heat shields when you install it.

just want to say, I was in the same boat as you. Worried about the overall loudness of it. But quiet is still very quiet. I call it “Mercedes mode”

But the other modes are pure heaven. The cars should have come this way stock! You absolutely won’t regret it.

here is a picture of mine installed if it helps.

I had a $90 xpipe on my car (sr performance?). It was cut and clamp and sounded great. Quiet mode was still very quiet and in Normal mode I didn't find myself looking to change to track mode all of time. I didn't have any rasp until I removed the cats.

H-Pipe from Steeda on mine. It's amazing. Every setting is louder the higher you go. Quiet still pretty quiet, Normal much louder, Sport is my preferred setting of really loud, Track Mode is my "f*** you, I'm downshifting in your face" mode.

Simple DIY mod too. Just be careful to get things mostly snug and check the tip alignment before cranking it down.

I got my Steeda H-pipe finally installed a few weeks ago, holy smokes, it's fantastic. Quiet is still very quiet, and everything just amps up from there - not using track anymore, the Sport (when in S+ mode) is spectacular, Normal makes itself known, pretty close to Sport when totally stock.

Tone is the same with some additional lower bass grumble, and coming off the throttle at speeds, hard on the break, S+ mode doing a rapid downshift, it bubbles and pops and is a goddamn beautiful aural spectacle :D

Maybe this is a relative question but i will make it anyway before i take a decision.

How is the impact in noise inside the cabin with either one of the H or the X?

Thanks in advance...
