I just did charge pipes with aftermarket intake, inter cooler and a steeda tune! It was fun it pulled hard especially after the tune! If you do get it change the oil every 3k miles it’s a must! The only thing besides the head gasket and carbon buildup is the A/C going out! It happened to mine!

Sometimes the head gasket on those earlier 2.3 fail between cylinder 2 and 3! There are test you can do to determine if it is a head gasket! Also could be carbon buildup on valves! A compression test would be a wise choice! If you don’t have the means to test all that see if they will let you...

Be careful of misfires its dumping fuel in that cylinder! It’s washing the piston with fuel robbing it of oil. Definitely bore scope check the cylinder walls!
