80mph + feels really floaty still

Like some have said, this is likely your issue.

If these are cold PSI’s that you posted, then that is definitely way too high since by the time they get up to temp they’ll be at 43-44 (front) 41-42 (rear)

Even if those were operating pressures, that would still be too high.

No doubt the stock suspension is floaty but not so intolerable that it feels anything other than stable at 80 MPH

I told them to set -2.8 front. when I got it home set it up on my stands and discovered -1.7 left and -3.0 right side.

Just wondering did the shop place approximate drivers weight ballast on the drivers side during alignment ?
Did you calibrate and verify the Smart Tool and place ballast on drivers side when checking camber ?

Yeah, I have to remove the unit from the frame to do the full calibration. But that’s the first step in any alignment. I don’t approximate driver weight. I’ve never seen a shop do it. Maybe in a race shop. I’m in the middle of swapping into the road race K member from Steeda along with bearing lateral and tension links, and numerous other mods. ‘tis the season for car mods in chilly Ohio. And another alignment. The adjustable track width will be interesting.

Well, you’re located in Northern Indiana and it’s December. My first thought is the extreme summer performance tire on cold pavement is the biggest problem.
This is equivalent to driving cheater slicks on snow.

Since Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 is a summer tire, it is not recommended to drive with these tires in the temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

I’ve use the MD Smart Tool for piping and frame work for years and honestly it’s a bear to calibrate even on a certified granite inspection table.
Yes, the shop I know uses ballast on everything but you are correct it’s mostly a road race shop.

I’m assuming the symptoms you describe on this thread are related to colder weather conditions ? Or were the same symptoms experienced during the summer months ?

It's hard to judge as end of summer months the barrel bent rim started which I was unaware of I thought it was just from an alignment issue till my back right tire had a big bubble on the side wall.

I drove my cousins Procharged gen 3 and it felt very floaty. Felt like I was driving a luxury car. The complete opposite of mine. Mine feels like a race car suspension is solid and stiff.

I would never have thought to describe the feeling of an imbalanced tire as "floaty"

When I hear floaty I think front end lift. Mine did that until I lowered the front 3/4 inch compared to the rear. Bonus is the hood no longer flutters either.
