I just heard my car my new 19 knocking today at low idle. Just after 30-40 mins city driving.
Oil temp was right at the middle.
When I restart the car I couldnt hear it again.
I didnt do a good job at recording but here it is. Better with headphone.

Coming from the 18 lemon I dont even want to go to the dealer. Even the the paper work of them lemon hasnt been finished.

Can it be just bad gas? I have quarter tank left from the dealer. I went with them to fill it and I am sure they put 90. In the morning, I am planning to get 93.

As everybody, I know I also got paranoid. Should I worry about it? Or let it break in.

For your sake I hope it turns out to be nothing. I know you just went through it with the whole lemon law process

Buying a gen III coyote is like playing Russian roulette where the revolver only has one empty chamber.
Probably wishing you had stuck with your 4.6 32v right about now.

Pretty hard to tell anything from the video. You're inside the car - need a recording of the engine above with the hood open and below undet the engine.

I just got gas and drove around. When I came back home it is still there. I could hear it at every redlight.

So I am not crazy right? Everybody can hear this?

Ok, from outside I couldnt hear anything. I guess thats a good think?
I have no experience with knocking. Since it just happened and I posted it. I havent done any research.

If you can't hear anything above or below the engine then that is good. Don't know what you're hearing when inside the car.

Maybe you're just a hypochondriac?! Haha

But seriously, I can't hear a thing. Maybe you have become so disenchanted with the Gen III Coyote after your previous experience you are just looking for/expecting there to be an issue.

Take it to a local car shop (not a dealer) and just ask to have one of their techs come out and listen to it. Or if there are any local speed shops/car guys that can do that for you.

Good luck, hopefully it's just your imagination/nothing at all.

My 18 makes the same sound and I think it's normal. As long as you don't have the low rpm rattle or the tick, you are golden!

not even the first video? I think after I filled gas, it got better. It is hard for me to hear in the 2nd video as well. I cant hear anything from outside as well.

I have the 2000rpm rattle. Even the F150s that I had as loaner had that. So, I started to ignore that.
No tick so far.

Thanks for the replies.
That knocking kind if sound comes up when the oil temp is at the middle. At lower temps the engine is super smooth thats why I got worried.
Hopefully nothing wrong with it.

For me the 2k rpm rattle is the biggest issue with the Gen 3 Coyotes. I wouldn't even worry about the tick if that's all my motor did. My only complaint with the original motor was the 2k rattle and after 6000 miles and 2 quarts of burned oil the dealer found quite a bit of metal and internal damage when they replaced the long block. The replacement motor is also rattling which is not surprising given that at this moment 2019s are still rolling off the assembly line with the 2k rpm rattle.

My knocking was identical to what you are describing. It would become audible once the oil temp is in the middle and it would get even louder after beating on the car for a bit and the oil temp crept up 3/4 of the way though the green zone. I haven't really noticed it lately so I pretty much forgot about it.
