Is the only R&R just the springs, or are you having them replace any shocks/struts, sway bars or adding aftermarket front CC plates?

To me, @$1300.00, is high IF the job is only an alignment (usually on the high end of $120) and swapping out factory springs for an aftermarket set…. I mean to swap springs on a lift with shop power tools shouldn’t take any more than 1-2 hrs depending on skill set of the Tech and/or if there isn’t any “oopsies” that require hardware replacement due to rust, etc…

If it were me, I’d get several quotes and try to look for shops that deal with performance mods if possible….Sometimes the standard “muffler”, “tire” shops or regular mechanic shops will charge more, because it’s outside their daily “script” to do such work with aftermarket parts…

I think I paid $450 to install, springs, CC plates, and alignment. This was in 2020 when prices were more reasonable.

That job is a $480 job at most. Or go to autozone, rent (for free) a spring compressor and do it yourself.

Around here a 4 wheel alignment runs $200. Most shops are in the 100 dollar per hour range. I have not seen a flat rate on mustang springs but I think it would be 2 hours front and 1.5 hours rear.

I would expect it to be in the 500 to 600 range

Probably charging you book time for it. I had a list of suspension parts I took to get installed because I was curious on the pricing, and they told me they had to drop the subframe to do the rear springs, and that it was a 4-5 hour job. They wanted to charge me like $3500+ for all suspension parts in my signature. Needless to say, I took it all home and did it myself with some help from a friend minus a bump steer kit that I paid to have installed before my alignment was done.

If the OP is in the WMA, the price is a bit high, but to be expected. Alignments can be $200-$300, and $500 plus for the springs.
Another reason I do as much as I can myself.
OP, where in MD are you, and maybe we can recommend something not too far away.

I’d try calling another shop if you don’t feel up to trying the spring install yourself. Should be able to get the alignment for under $200.

Go read the threads in the regional section. Several good shops are mentioned, albeit south of Baltimore.

I'm in nova so can't help if you insist on staying on the wrong side of the river.
