Hit a deer last weekend, damage to the door and the rear quarter. Decided to not deal with insurance and the already absurd rate increases going on, I'll need to replace the driver door at some point and I think I can get lucky enough with a paintless dent repair for the rear quarter.

But on to better news, doing my first autocross tomorrow (broken mirror and all!). I'll know a few of the guys there and it'll only be a few miles from my house, so I had to do it. Looking forward to the instructors and getting a feel for the culture.
FYI a deer strike is covered by comprehensive insurance, not collision. It shouldn’t result in any rate increases for you so might be worth taking a look at that.

Gave it a much needed wash, and took it out to Cars and Coffee.

Got to see how the other half lives, if only for a couple of days - vacation on Cape Cod.

I ordered a set of smoked side markers from American Muscle and they were SUPPOSED to be in yesterday. However, I made the mistake selecting the cheap, USPS shipping and they didn't get delivered on time. Looking at the tracking, they went from Lenexa, KS to Dallas, TX and then to the North Houston Distribution Center. Then for some bizarre reason, they ended in Springfield, MA the day before the delivery date (WTF!). THey sat for two days before the tracking showed they left and were heading for the next stop (which will probably be North Houston again so there's no telling what will happen). I hope to post pics at some point later this week.

Had my first autocross event today. Without a doubt, hardest part was learning/reading the course while driving. My memory sucks, apparently. First session was about trying not to screw up and stay on the course, hitting the right gates.

Got to watch the second group go while we worked out sections, better understood the course after watching and was better able to commit to memory. Second session was much better, actually got to drive with a little confidence vs fear.

It was a good introduction for me, small course and kept it in second gear the entire time. I'd do a local event again but probably wouldn't travel for an all day event when I get less than 10 minutes of driving.

Over the past month with work and ordering some new tools and new TTY bolts I have almost completed installing the supercharger. Front seal was leaking so everything that came off got a good cleaning before going back on with new front seal and all new gaskets. The issue at the moment is the coolant tank bracket doesn't line up to bolt down to the cross brace on the passenger side. Currently waiting on a reply back and path forward for that from Vortech. Once complete will be ordering a tune from @Wengerd Performance RTD device will be delivered today. I will also be changing the worm clamps for T bolt clamps as well when time allows.

Well, I went with my second set of Conti DWS06s. 255/40r19 front and 285/35r19 rear. I know some have mentioned that they wished these tires had a quicker steering response. I'm finding that if you run the front tires 2 psi or so higher than your normal that they have a very quick steering response. Not only are these tires grippy and responsive, but they are super smooth and refined. And best yet, they are cheaper than the comparative Michelins.

Its tough, but keep going back. These cars have a pretty high skill ceiling though, I got discouraged from sucking. Lol. Having to unlearn fwd was the biggest barrier for me

I have them on my SHO and Audi, love them. I could tell the difference right away. Plus the wheel protector is better than most.
