23 pages of info on this subject is good, but now it’s time for the Whipple, ESS and Procharger cars to take it from the bench to the track and have some shootouts to show us who the real Huff/Puff Daddy is.

Auto vs auto, manual vs manual and auto vs manual would be really nice to see. The weather is about perfect for netting the best conditions right now too.

That will never happen but fun to think about. Imagine if all the people from this forum that chat/debate/argue met up with everyone in real life. It would be something to see. Haha.

After 23 pages I have learned someone better call Ford and tell them the GTD is all wrong…they clearly need to rip that blower off and put an ESS on it, since you know, you can’t track a PD blower 😎

Maybe a few people will step up to the challenge. It should be relatively easy to do with the three aforementioned SC manufacturers’ products being found in vehicles in just about every state.

Not knocking anyone who has provided info. on this subject, but making power and being able to use it effectively will also come into play and that’s what will make things much more interesting.

I found that out myself making the low baby horsepower that I make on nitrous. It’s both very humbling and frustrating at the same time. It’s just not as easy as saying what one’s setup will do, based on the power it makes and where it makes it, it’ll require the rubber meeting the road to find out the truth.

Oh I know there are, but the majority of us are running street/strip/road course cars. Those are the ones that I’d love to see get to the track and battle it out.

The question is, who is willing to give it a go and report back with the good, the bad and the ugly?

you remind me of my ex wife how you bring up fifty different things and try to re-word what I say
You remind me of my elementary school friends who argue random points unrelated to the current convo

Good write up. Speaking of overall efficiency I wonder which blower consumes less power to make power? I know in the end what it consumes doesn't really matter and the boost levels would make a difference as well as to the efficiency and to what it makes but still something to think about.
It would be whatever force it takes to spin the gearset, i would assume the centri takes less as less weight to spin, but maybe theres more to it like gear oil choices etc

They put a pd because a non mod enthusiast (yes alot of people with the money for gt500 and above models are not people like us for mods, they keep their cars stock mostly) they want low end power. Modern turbos hardly have lag yet people still complain about the lag

so the pd is there because it will have a more feel to the hp it makes

Procharger and whipple have been in the game, ess hardly just came out comparatively to the others history

I see we always love to cater to the fastest of the fastest when talking about the average mustang owner…

I’ve tried to early on in this thread. All I can say here is, it’s been quite a humbling experience trying to get my 2019 Bullitt to cut good short times, ET and MPH.

I only have partial data for nitrous. The few times I have used it at the track, I’ve, only sprayed in 2nd -4th gear, but here are a few timeslips from nitrous passes. Most of my runs have been NA because I wanted to get my short times down first. Needless to say, I still have lots of work to do on that. With that being said, I also don’t make the kind of power that many Whipple and Centri cars make. I only make 639 rwhp/602 rwtq.

Lastly, it’s gonna be in excess of a year before I can even get back to the track. My drag pack is on a pod in storage and I only have street tires on the car at the moment. I’m way out of my element living in an apartment for now, while our new home is being built.

I am excited to see how Gainesville’s track compares to Bradenton’s though.

I was thinking I'd like to see some nitrous times just for fun comparisons. My
A10 car with E85 tune only no mods and full weight on stock tires went 8.69 60 to 130 and 11.3@124 1/4 mile in good air.

The A10 is a beast. No doubt. I still can't bring myself to give up shifting though. I've been lucky to this point. 97k on my mt82 and still kicking. 124 on a full weight NA car is nice. I only trapped 129mph on spring pressure in my TT car. Don't have an accurate time because it was on the street in mexico and traction was non-existent. Havent had a chance to try full 1320 again since the newest round of tuning and the boost controller with my engine issues the past year but hopefully soon. The boost controller was a game changer.

Those A10 cars are gettin’ it done and I take nothing away from them. The blue ‘21 GT A10 that was in the left lane runs 11.70s at 119-120 NA

There’s so much more involved with getting a manual (especially a D4 tranny) to short time and run a good number. All of my runs are made at full weight and with a full tank of fuel.

At the end of it all, no manual 5.0 driver is gonna out shift an A10.

I mentioned in another thread that Lethal Performance’s ‘24 Whipple GT, with a Calimer built tranny (making 830 rwhp) ran a 10.68, thus proving how hard it is to get these manual cars to sixty and get on down the track. We all know 830 rwhp is enough to go mid 9s easily. I’m sure we’ll see a huge improvement from them and their ‘24 GT in the near future.
