Seat cover install project finally started today, did the back today and will probably do the passenger and driver seat on separate weekends coming up. This one took about two hours today, first time doing any upholstery type job. I also added some Noico/sound deadening below them since they were out and I had plenty leftover from my last car.
Looking great! Where did you buy these? How do you like the black suede? I've been thinking of doing the middle section in black suede.
I've been dealing with Katzkin directly but they've been aggressively calling me and texting like an ex girlfriend. It's kind of turning me off and im going to buy from a dealer instead as Katzkins pricing is dealer installed only.

Got them off eBay, they're a Roush set - seller had a bunch of Roush stuff so I'm guessing it's either one of their authorized installers or perhaps a contractor for them.

As far as the inserts, couldn't tell you yet. They seem like they may get dirty quicker, but won't really be able to say for certain until I've the driver seat done for awhile. I do like the idea of it though so it's not all slippery leather.

Thanks for the info. That is my hang up on going suede. It might be a fuzz magnet.
Post up some pics when it's all done.

I love that spoiler! I have the same one and think it's fits the vert so nice. Nice taste with the black wheels as well!
Yes! I went to the convertible deck spoiler thread - found your posts and bought the same one. Thank you.

I purchased a 2018 GT manual stripper with 22k miles last week. The only option is the Orange Fury paint. Excellent condition inside and out. For whatever reason the black stripes are not even in good condition. Jagged edges, very very faded. I tried to bring them back to life but couldn't. So off they go. Patience and heat are your friends. Everything went great until I started to clean the vinyl adhesive around the license plate bracket and a 1/4 inch by 3/4 inch strip of paint come off. I got down on my knees and examined the recessed lip around the bracket and I see why. From the factory the paint is very thin such that the black from the bumper bleeds through. Bummer, but what's done is done. I'll collect a few more issues and get the bumper painted somewhere down the line. For now I have an orange fury touch up pen coming from automotivetouchup.com

There are definitely paint lines from where the stripes were and I'll hit those with an orbital cutting pad and cream followed by some polishing which should resolve enough until the sun can finish the blend job.

The right tool and knowing how to angle to release the clips helps a lot. First time took me at least an hour, 2nd and 3rd were like 15 minutes.

That’s entirely your prerogative. The fact is I’ve done 2000 miles since I got the car, the car now has 13k on it so the previous owner might have been a ham fisted monster!? I’ve only ever use cruise control a couple of times and as I was putting it away for winter I could hear a rattling and when I investigated, the button was broken and loose. You can’t buy the buttons separately that I could see so I bought a new switch unit and it was a pain in the ass to get the airbag off. I don’t intend on trying to mess with it again haha.

Continuing the steering wheel swap. Relocated the dash control to the left side of steering column. Added a horn switch(silver button) to the lower part of the steering column. installed the MMR hub. Just waiting for my Krontec Quick Release to come in.

Family out of town so I had a nice quiet Christmas Eve here watching football. Decided to tackle my Bland engine cover and and spruce it up without going crazy with painting. Silver carbon fiber inserts and caliper paint on the raised letters, I think it came out great. I've used 3M 1080p wrap before on engine covers, it holds up fine if you Use adhesion promoter. Used a 1 inch foam brush for the letters, 2 coats.

Well this is friggin awesome. Can't wait to see the finished product. I've not read up on your build thread but is the Mustang essentially track only now?

Installed a close-but-not-perfect color matched Ford GT-style decklid badge. To be fair, it's almost impossible to color match Orange Fury since Ford uses a tinted clear coat.
