Hey y'all, sorry about that lol. I wasnt that expecting so much chatter. The referenced link is the correct seller. The quality is top notch as I had ordered from them before. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll pay attention to this now lol
Installed a close-but-not-perfect color matched Ford GT-style decklid badge. To be fair, it's almost impossible to color match Orange Fury since Ford uses a tinted clear coat.
I've pulled it a part a few times and the buttons are receiving power, so I don't think this is the case, but will pull it apart one more time this afternoon. I wonder if there is a short somewhere in the main connector.
No, I have not transferred the original wheel back in. Unless there's some sort of transponder in the wheel itself, it shouldn't make a difference since the harness and buttons were all transferred over.
Alright, so I'm in a bit of a pickle. I replaced the factory steering wheel with an aftermarket carbon fiber one and for some reason, the steering wheel buttons no longer work.
A couple of things to note:
1. The aftermarket steering wheel is just a frame, the buttons/electronics were...
Man, I must've been lucky because I haven't had issues with mine at all. There was a point in which the DRL wire came a bit lose and the DRL stopped working, but that was user error. I reseated it and super glued it to the connector and haven't had issues since.
Sucks that you've been through...
For anybody interested in an update the transmission fluid was black with metal particles. Luckily I got the car through CarMax with an extended warranty and they're just going to replace the entire thing at 69,000 miles. So there's that 🤷🏿♂️
@Diode Dynamics Just wanted to let you know I got mine in from AmericanMuscle, installed them and have 0 issues. I had to adjust the DRL sleeve just a touch, but no big and they work and look killer!
They only critique I have is that I wished the animation were longer and more elaborate! Other...
I would check the fuses if I had no power to the steering wheel whatsoever, but because there's power for the heated steering wheel and the lighting for the buttons, I'm less worried about it being a specific fuse. There wouldn't be any power at all if it were a fuse I think
Yeah it sounds like I'm going to have to go through the wiring another time. It's tragic that the paddle shifters work, the heated steering wheel works and the lights work, but the buttons just don't seem to be wanting to respond.
