I have a 19gt with 15k miles and I have a vortech sc, 4.09 gears and a couple other things. I’m thinking of trading mine in for a 24 gt premium. My question is will they give me credit for the mods on my car? I really don’t want to have to remove the vortech before I sell it. I don’t think it’ll work on a 24. But I don’t want to get ripped off either. What are my options?

Only a specialty car dealer might give you credit for the mods. Most Ford dealers would prefer it to be put back to stock.

Sorry, but not only will they not give you credit, you will likely get less for the car than a stock version. You are better off selling it private party to someone who understands what you did with the car.

Agree with others.

You might have used great components and kept the car very well, but potential buyers will doubt the assembly and wonder how severely the previous driver beat on it.

Original is boring, but it finds ready buyers, often at the best price.

Be prepared to take a huge hit on ANY aftermarket mods.

Buyers have different tastes, and nobody is going to pay full price for other peoples customization decisions. You'll be lucky to get any value whatsoever.

This. Main reason I went with a Procharger. Relatively easy to remove it if I did ever sell it.

Honestly, sell it yourself. It takes more work, but you will get more money out of it.

That’s totally messed up. But finding a private buyer is a huge pain in the ass. Is there another way?

Nope. Mods = less value of the car. I wouldn't buy a modded car, especially one with a SC and gears lol. Only way to recoup any of that mod money is removal and selling it.

Dunno why you'd waste all that time and effort for a new GT that's the same exact car with ipads taped to the dash and a locked ECU. Judging by the mod list in your sig, you're gonna lose a LOT of money to get into a slower, worse looking car.

Sell rocks. Maybe some meth.

Other than that, you lose every $ you put into mods.

consider yourself lucky to get 35 cents on the dollar private party and definitely less than that to a dealer. One FI car on cars.com just took a 5K write-down on the asking price (50->45) in about 2 weeks of posting. Even though he's only babied it and had it on for like 3000 miles at most.

He's gonna need to come down another 5K before anyone will be interested. FI is a money-losing move.

Damn, that really sucks, but I just called up the dealership I got the car from. He told me that they will give me credit for the mods I’ve installed. But tbh I think he’s saying that to get me in the door so they can sell me something.

Yea they aren't "giving" you shit lol. They're gonna give you a price but your mods aren't reflected in their calculation, they just want ya in the door.

Why would you want to go backwards to a N/A 2024, that is basically the same car you already have but with an "updated" interior?
